The fact that any oath may be affirmed, instead of sworn to, and that alternate books can be used instead of the bible, does not negate in one bit my point.
Actually, there's no requirement that any book be used, and in fact the vast majority of people take the oath of office - the military - can't because apart from their raised right hand, they're at attention. There's also no requirement to say "So help me God" if one does not wish to and when it comes to the president, that phrase is missing from Article II.
