Artificial Sentience. How would it be recognized?

I'm not sure I follow, again. My point is that if we create an intelligent being (other than by the usual methods), do we then add all the aspects inherent in humanity, not limited to certain death (often unpleasantly so) and make it certain that the end result cannot be reveresed and if we don't then what have we created?

A future similar to that of humans in the Matrix movie comes to mind, or Battlestar Galactica where self preservation tops everything. If we are on a path of self destruction it would only be a matter of time before this AI would do the same if it's built in our image.

Convincing someone isn't really my concern either. All I need is an accurate proof. Those who doubt can spend their time banging their heads against that proof.

You can't prove a subjective. That's what the word means. All you can do is convince someone to shed their doubts. Your concern don't enter into it.
