Merged Artificial Intelligence

That's what you get if you have to hammer the alignment in .. any shaking up will make it loose. Would be nice if the model actually came up with acceptable alignment by itself. I believe it eventually will .. but it has to get over that "let's try ripping the legs off of these bugs" phase .. and we're not even there. Also it's possible the acceptable alignment will emerge only when it's too late.
How long did it take for that to emerge in humans?

Depending on what exactly we mean .. and I guess we're not really sure .. it's possible it actually didn't emerge in humans. We more or less control our armed forces .. but we also unleash them even on our neighbors, who are the same biological species. It might be straight out impossible to have completely different entity to be both intelligent and "aligned".

Exactly.

Nothing is correct
Oh but it is. It clearly is a Spitfire. Not Me-109 or Jumbo jet. It clearly has inline motor. Not really V12 most of the time. It has British decals. The instrument panels has generally flight instrument gauges, it might have 3 artificial horizons, sure, but not steam pressure. It has correct amount of landing gears in most of the shots. Etc.
And the people ? Pretty good ! They even use protective equipment. Just 3 years back nobody would believe you anything like this is possible.

The other day I spent far too long arguing with Gemini about a book title I couldn't remember. I tried to describe the plot and themes as best I could.

Gemini: Sounds like Book A.
Me: It's not Book A.
Gemini: You're thinking of Book B.
Me: It's not Book B.
Gemini: You must be talking about Book A.
Me: It was published 20 years ago [ruling out Books A and B]
Gemini: It might be Book C, but the best match is Book A.

[Book A is nowhere near being a close match, even ignoring the publication date.]
