I'll be surprised if a vaccine to Staphylococcus aureus is a practical proposition, but I could be wrong. We do use autogenous vaccines to Staphylococcus intermedius which is very similar, so perhaps it's a runner.
Develop new antibiotics. Yes. And find the Holy Grail while you're at it. A laudable goal, but not necessarily something you can just decide to do and it's done. And once you've done it, try stopping selfish, brain-dead morons from over-using it.
