Okay, I was out of line with the death camp thing. It was inappropriate for me to extrapolate any racism I might have seen there out into genocide.
 
Well, to be fair, most of us have been tempted to turn the rhetoric dial to 11 at least once.

I thought it was more like they were telling Los Angeles to go ahead and boycott and start by boycotting the power they get if they truly have the resolve and conviction.

I think most of us are in agreement that the boycott is a pretty stupid way to respond to the new law.

We are all anxiously awaiting the new police training materials that will teach how to enforce the law without racial profiling. I can't even hope that it's not going to make us look foolish.

So that would be an example of a legal stop.

While he doesn't say it in so many words, he is making a veiled threat to turn off the power. This is just like mafioso telling a store owner that they should buy insurance from the mafia to insure nothing bad happens to the store.

So, you can try your conservative spin, but the threat is there. I doubt that it's a sincere threat, though. It's just posturing, as far as I'm concerned.
