Are Truthers Really Scared of Attention?

Right now Truthers are so quite that hardly anyone knows who they are. Outside of the JREF, almost no one has heard of this. Truthers like Bill keep telling us his mission is to spread the Gospel of Truthing to the world, but it appears almost all his message is limited to talking with us,

I keep asking the Truther freaks we have here, why don't they get out and start picketing TV stations? Or better yet, picket fire houses where the firefighters won't sign their petitions. Just make so much noise that people have to do something about them.

I maintain that that's exactly what they're scared of. If people started paying attention to Truthers, they'd appear as the pathetic and unbalanced folks that they really are. But they tell me I'm wrong and that they're really the heros of today.

Ok, fine, but why don't they really try to get some attention?

I can't say you can lump every "truther" together as if they all think and act the same.

The closest comparison would be people involved in religion.

There are some who believe based on the environment they grew up in.

Some who believe a little bit but aren't really in any effort to be faithful to that belief.

Some who believe and go through the motions but aren't vocal about it.

And some who believe and go out of their way to make sure everyone knows that what they believe is the right way.

some truthers thrive on attention....its their only goal in this whole thing.

others fear it like the plague. they prefer to be the anonymous mom's basement revolutionary.

Silent and anonymous kudos for some. They seem to thrive on the attention from other attention seeking loons. Vicious circle of self gratifying delusion really. Blind leading the dumb and blind.

They will probably have a mixture of similar traits - angry at their own misfortunes, 15 - 27, jobless, girlfriendless, no real social skills - probably tinged with drug abuse. Those older ones that have actually been in the public eye are dropout egotists simply after attention and needing their bank balances injected by gullible fools. A never ending cycle of deluded people entrapping more and more deluded people. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The truth movement has realized that if they make a lot of noise they get negative attention. But if they keep to the back allies of the internet they can feel like they are doing something without the nasty real world encroaching on them.

This is one of my biggest problems with the " truth" movement. They complain on a constant basis about all these evils in the world, about these large cabals, and corrupt local government, of gang stalking, and psi ops, of chemtrails and deathcamps, but what exactly do they do about it?

Post on some internet forums, go to a protest or two. That will stop the evil overlords.

It just dosn't make sense even on a basic level to me, how, in the sweet crap, could posting on internet forums and making poor quality youtube vids stop this giant cabal? Revolutions take sacrifice, blood sweat and tears. They certainly don't take 1 hour of experience with windows movie maker.

The internal inconsistency of their belief system is staggering, i hear truthers refer to themselves or their heros as anything from Che To V. But the fact is that che and V actually did something! Unless i missed the directors cut of V where he takes out the government by eating cheez-it's and calling me a shill online.

I like though how this is one of those questions that never get a direct answer, the best i have gotten is " you gotta start somewhere". But that is still ducking the issue. The truth movement has been around for 7 years, and in 7 years the best that has been done is what is around now.

If i hadn't met people in real life who believed this stuff i would make the assumption it was just all a big joke, a big carlos hoax on the skeptics or something of that nature. I just can't see how someone can , on one hand say " big evil organization controlling the world, killing people with impunity " and on the other say that all they have to do is post on the internet about it.

To believe one is such a superhero that one does not have to worry about the petty efforts of a giant evil organization in stopping their spreading the truth, that is being a narcissist. I couldn't think of another better way to describe narcissism than someone who believes they are so awesome that they can openly defy the largest most evil cabal in history.

Telling of ones achievements dosn't even come close to that level of self love.

You seem to be confused. The difference is that basically, the folks here believe that the USA is perhaps the freest place on Earth, that democracy and elections more or less do run the nation (and others), and that within reasonable interpretation the media reports on the events that really do occur. For people like this, it makes sense to cite the mainstream media and talk about the state of the nation it reports.

So, every single company/NPO/ or person who gets any kind of recognition, is, narcissists??
