From Monday night's Daily Show:

Wow... Fox News is scaring the hell out of people about the proposed mosque in NYC. One of the ways they've been doing this is by talking about "follow the money for who is funding the mosque" and alluding to sinister Mideast connections.

All this, when in fact the same guy that Fox News says is funding the mosque, Alwaleed bin Talal, is - get this - the BIGGEST SHAREHOLDER IN FOX NEWS!!! What a bunch of stupid jerks...

Ah well, I suppose it's good for getting the rubes to tune in

ETA: My bad, there's already another thread here on this topic.

Oops, sorry, I didn't see the other thread(s) until after I posted this one.

My bad :o

ETA: Maybe a thread merge would be in order, Mods? Otherwise, just let this one die.

I don't see it as an either/or situation. It appears to me that Fox News is both evil and stupid.

Does this need three threads?

I'd say, in order to get the word out about the funding of the Terror Mosque (complete with Terror Babies!!!), that yes, we need something like 20 of these threads! Fox says follow the money or we'll all die.

:crowded:

P.S. Why do you hate America?

What percentage of Fox does he own?

And hopw much of his total portfolio does that represent?

He owns 7%. Peanuts to him, but 7% is a big chunk of a property that big and influential.

And I have to wonder how some Fox News defenders here would react if this scary Mideast money-man were donating money to GOP candidates to the tune of 7% of their campaign coffers? I'd say that's a fair analogy.

Please say you're being sarcastic. Otherwise
The GOP has done everything in its power to destroy the middle class as a sigfnificant power in American politics. You can't control an informed and prosperous population through fear of destitution.

Actually, a better analogy would be to ask those Fox News supporters here how they feel about a potential terrorist owning 7% stock in the company they adore so much?

You know, since the implications by Fox News are that the NYC mosque is potentially being funded by terrorist money (at least the way they tell it).

Turnabout is fair play.

That is not a fair analogy. There is a world of difference between someone buying stock in a publically traded company and someone donating money to a politician.

Nice to see an acknowledgment that funding the mosque is evil.

Not really, just pointing out the hypocrisy of those at Fox News screaming the loudest about it.

Or, if you really want to extend your conclusion, funding Fox News is evil. But I think that's a stupid conclusion.
