Ack you got me. I've never seen any evidence. Probably none exists. I must have read it in a feminazi magazine, that's it. Thanks
How many muggings are by women? How many murders? How much gang violence? How many militias and suicide bombings? Women are certainly represented in all these, but there's really no question that men are involved far more.
At the same time it's also true that violence against women is vastly more under-reported. But then, did you and this person check to see if whatever stats you were looking at had already taken unreported crimes into consideration? Don't do it twice.During the chat, it was suggested to me that the stats may be innaccurate because violence commited by a woman (like spousal abuse) is less likely to be reported.
Here is a good example. A man and a woman are at a bar. The woman gets drunk, and takes to man home, where they have sex. Is that rape? They both get drunk and have sex, is that rape? Only the man is drunk and they have sex, is that rape? Men have been charged with rape in all three scenarios.
The second you said "feminazi" you lost your place in an otherwise calm thread. Demonizing feminists doesn't help anybody, in fact it hurts everybody. Feminists talk plenty about how cultural misogyny being enforced by gender stereotypes hurts men, too.Ack you got me. I've never seen any evidence. Probably none exists. Oh, the old "all women are money grubbing w****s argument, now I missed it. Not. Way to prove you have no place in this thread.Behind every bad man is a bad woman spending the money.
In the 3rd scenario, you're completely discounting many incidences in which drunk men can and do overpower sober women and rape them. Overcoming the "no" of another person, even if you're drunk, is still rape. There's a reason drunk driving kills are still murder, to make an analogy. And in scenario 2, it's still possible and even common for drunk men to refuse to listen to a drunk woman's clear "no" and rape her. Don't make false dichotomies. Scenario 1 is obviously rape. That you would even ask, is disturbing.

Yes, men really are more violent than women.
Everything's jake now, TG. Friggin' election. And yes - I really DID vote for Obama. Hope he's the best President we Yanks've ever had.Conspi,
Oh man, that is funny. I'm glad the election is over to have you back.....even though your wrong half the time.
I had a drunk, standing behind Francesca, tailgating, rape joke all worked out, but decided against it. Apparently, those things are not funny today. Along with feminazis, because nazis are only funny when they are singing and dancing.
Oh well. I posted relevant excerpts from the British Crime Survey earlier today, and nobody commented on that data at all. Let me repeat: the British Crime Survey (largest organised survey of victimisation in the UK) indicates that men are perpetrators of about 87% of violent crime.
Or just continue bickering and never mind the numbers...
My father was a police officer on the Alameda CA police force. He told me that the most hate assignment was to go to a domestic quarrell. he told me that often when they arrived and the situation seemed to be defused the woman would start the argument all over again. This subject came up before from a related angle. There are a slew of web sites claiming women are just as domestically violent as men. They base the claim on surveys which treat slamming a door as equally violent as murdering your spouse.
Sometimes the obvious is just that, obvious. Women represent a fraction of violent crimes offenders and men a fraction of victims. Hormones, evolution or sociocultural, take your pick of underlying causes, but the facts are the discrepancy in violence between genders is huge, overwhelmingly supported by the data (if you are honest about it) and OBVIOUS.
I seem to remember posting the same thing (though previous year, obviously) in a similar thread a while back. It was ignored then too.

the op said:Statistics show that men are much more likely to be accused and convicted of violent crimes. Does this mean men are more prone to violence than women?
