I guess in this thread it should be Wen Dover, some distant relative of Aaron. Technically it's West Wendover, since nominal Wendover is in Utah. The former Air Force base there was where Col. Tibbits and his crew trained to drop the atomic bombs in World War II. Now the Wendover Airport, it's fun to fly into because it has luxuriously long and wide runways built for heavily-laden B-29s. For us pilots of limited skill, it's helpful. It also stands in for the home of the Brotherhood of Steel scenes in Fallout (the TV series). Most notably, it's near the famous white salt flats and the Bonneville Speedway. Come our annual Speed Week in August, I might end up spending at least some time in Wendover.
 
I at least appreciate nt1's unique (in my experience take on 9-11) the notion that all of the video and photos from NY on that day are fake. I truly hadn't heard that before.

It threw me for a second because I live within walking distance (for the fairly fit & dedicated) of the original Wendover, which is a couple of stops down from where I live on the Ridgeway, a pathway used since Stonehenge was being built.

No halo around the obviously composited element. But you do see the white borders on certain features inside the composited element: the visor boundary, some elements of the bumper car. These are on the interior of the feature, parts that are not (and would not be) affected by the alpa channel during compositing. Those are all α=1 parts of the image. They are, however, edges that would be detected by a crude band-pass filter because they are the transition pixels between areas of high luminosity and areas of low luminosity, all unconnected to the composition boundary. They are predictably absent in the edges around the Stig's helmet because the transition between his white helmet and the white background employ transition pixels that fall outside the passed band. They are both high-luminosity areas, so the passed band is on the right side of the curve—the highly attenuated and highly differentiated part of the luminance map.

This reminds me a bit of the claim that certain fiduciary marks are "covered" by composited elements in certain Apollo surface images, to maintain continuity when the hoaxers forgot to place certain equipment for photos. Of course the "covered" fids aren't present in high quality scans of the original film, and only light colored areas cover them on the poor quality image files they acquire for their armchair detective act. But to me the really funny part is that the "evidence" shows the same "covering" of the fids on the white stripes on the flag, requiring that we believe that the hoaxers forgot to get a flag with white stripes and had to add them in later. "Don't worry, Bob. We'll fix it in post." Nt1's analysis seems to be similarly sophisticated.

It seems like an inevitable corrolary of Ryan Mackey's theory of the Inflationary Limit of Conspiracy Theories. Once you get to the point where everyone but the conspiracy theorist is part of the conspiracy, it follows that all of the evidence must be faked.

While nt1's conspiracy theory was decidedly second rate , he was an excellent example of a conspiracy theorist due to having all his dials turned up to eleven and then snapped off.
 
For the avoidance of doubt.
Apart from one being converted to monochrome and the beach shot having the contrast increased nothing has been done to the pictures.
One of them is a stock library shot the others are mine

The first wasn't touched? Just to left of center is the reflection of a tree with no corresponding tree on the shore.

In the context of the test though, that wasn't an answer, it was pretty clear at the outset, and restated several times, that the intent was for him to apply his 'technique' and state which of the pictures were altered based on the results since that was what he claimed proved the 9/11 footage (and everything else) was faked. Trying to find the changes through manual inspection defeated the point of the test at a minimum, reverse image searches to play spot-the-difference was outright cheating and hedged answers that could be twisted into not-really-a-yes-or-no were irrelevant to the question asked. That's without the half dozen rounds of 'which pictures was it again', which fooled no-one.
 
Using ChatGTP to engage people online is going to be a disaster. This idiot is so sold on AI doing his work for him he couldn't fathom how ineffective his replies were to even the simplest questions. Don't get me wrong, AI is useful within a limited scope, and always has been, but this new evolution of public access to AI platforms is clearly failing, and those using these platforms seem to be too stupid to know it's failing.
 
I don’t think that nt1 intended his silly luma curve analysis to identify changes in contrast or colour. He only wanted to identify additions or removal of object in the picture.
If I am right, he should not have found a single instance of tampering in these images.

Jay found a couple of haloes with just a quick look in pictures that haven't been tampered with.
