That looks like it was so much fun, you guys...well, except for jumping in the water. Brrr! I'll give the three kayakers credit.

I love the fact that you had your own Mythbusters on the scene. How amusing!

SkepticScott had given me his cell number to call if I had a chance, but, as I suspected, my husband and I were tied up (in a figurative sense of course) until quite late. I'm sorry to have missed the chance to meet all of you.

Seeing the pictures has made me really excited for the next gathering.

Always too shy to ham it up, Rebecca kayaks past, hardly noticing the camera pointed in her direction.

I'm so glad that Kitten is a volunteer, I could never afford to pay models like this according to their true value.

Thanks so much for sharing all the great photos! Damn, it looks like you all had so much fun. I almost remember what trees and autumn leaves smell like again. And Merc. I almost remember what Merc smells like again. But Rebecca encouraging a future skepchick to shoot him is about the best picture I have ever seen in these forums.

Where is the picture of the "Eskimo Roll"? :)

This kayak built for three has a mumchup, a chip off a mumchup. and a Chip.

It's true!

These guys had fun playing Mythbusters.
That's what you get when the Diet Coke starts foaming out when you've got the cap only tightened one turn. ;) Four to six Menots is all it takes for a 2-liter bottle. We dropped in a whole roll for the third bottle, but the foam came out so fast I couldn't get the cap on at all.

Hmmmm.....

What if we wrap the mentos in husblas (gelatine in thin wafers, used for puddings etc)?

That way, we should have plenty of time to screw the cap back on. We will need some sort of trigger to get the cap off, though, because otherwise the bottle will explode...

Hmmm......I think I will do a little experiment...

It sure looks like you all had a great time. I'm envious! I'm also sad that I live so far away from all of you. *sigh*

Uh-oh....

How do you say "Hey y'all, watch this!" in Danish? :D

*PLING!*

ICE!

Freeze small cubes of fizzed coke with a quarted Mentos in each. That way, there won't be the immediate reaction.

Open bottle, use a straw to suck out a little coke to make room for the cubes, carefully dump the ice-Mentos in, put cap on, wait.

The coke should be as warm as possible, to make the ice melt as quickly as possible. Leave out in sun for a while, before preparing.

I'm a genius.

Fantastic pics!

Aw, look, wouldn't Rebecca make a great mommy!

Mini-Boo is the cutest kid ever.
