Too bad any actual astronomy being done by actual astronomers is being filtered through the amateurs at Gizmodo, instead of being cited directly. Buncha ad-driven lay fluff and precious little in the way of any verifiable scientific claims. Why not cite the astronomers directly?

Because it's all just Gizomodo quoting emails they received but did not publish.

Sorry. I find it really aggravating when people on this forum of all places insist on citing amateur fluff pieces instead of actual scientists publishing actual science.
