I suspect most of you are fans and I know it's a very minor thing in the grand scheme and all that, but I hate when authority figures (POTUS of all people) pull this kind of BS. IMO what a d-bag. Can you imagine if someone had said "uh no I don't think so" and dared to try and prevent him from doing this? They'd probably be in the hospital now.

I just knew this was about the cutting in line thing before I even opened the thread.

So juvenile. So predictable. No word on what he did to the people he cut?

Your anger is either clever satire or unjustified. In any case, thanks for reminding me what a great guy Obama is.

If it was Bush he would've had the restaurant closed to the public prior to entering.

I guess he should have just stood around in line for 5 hours doing nothing. I'm sure no one could possibly criticize him for that...

I'm trying to think of reasons why I should care about this.

I really am.

...Nope, not happening. This is news?

He bought lunch for people he just met. That's kinda neat. Not newsworthy, no, but it's not so bad to say "I just don't care."

You can't be serious. This is a Poe, right?

Yeah, and did you see that thing about the Frontier Airlines pilot who got on the phone to Dominoes before any of his passengers could and bought them all pizza. What a douchebag...

To anyone who might want to cut the line in front of me out here on the west side of the Willamette, I have only this to say: I'm totally fine with it if you're paying my tab...or if you're super cute (male/female/trans - I refuse to discriminate!)...or if you're wearing SCUBA gear.

Presidents realize that their presence is, by nature, disruptive to their surroundings because of the necessary security. The longer they remain in a place not designed for them, the more work they're creating for other people.

Dear Mr President,

I am currently in a queue to buy a Jaguar XF RS and a big house in the Warwickshire countryside.
It'll take hours to reach the front.
So, if you want to jump in front of me......

I find myself thinking back to all the folks who said, "Clinton told a lie - now school children will think it is appropriate to lie because they've seen the president do it."
