How? It seems to me to be the response of those on the left that this is silly and if they wanted to be serious they would just say **** joe biden. Yet there are tons of people buying the merchandise. So that seems to be really hitting a cord with conservatives.

The analogies to kids who just recently learned some "curse words" is actually pretty good. The rise in public crappy behavior from the right in the last few years means people who weren't doing it before are doing it now, and the change from before is the key. The feeling that there's something you were once restricted from and now realize you can get away with is entertaining in a liberating way, especially if the source of the restriction you're getting out from under was how horrified certain other people's reactions would be over such a silly pointless trifle. Just replace teachers & parents with political opponents.

Bumper stickers were the go to for zero risk, zero effort, low cost, self righteous preening for decades before there was an internet. All the Coexist, baby on board, don't tread on me.... nothing new there.
How is this successful trolling? There are literally commentators comparing a pilot saying, "lets go brandon" is the equivalent of a pilot saying "long live ISIS"? Others suggesting he should lose his job? At worst its mildly unprofessional and the equivalent of taking knee. Lots of lefties kvetching about how awful it is to chant? This thread?
