I heard of this kind of gene-therapy proposal which would consist of a patch of some sort attached to a person's skin which would deliver genes to cells in the body.

Anybody heard of this?

Yea, for real. Thanks. I had found absolutely zilch on the google.

Bump... I want to respond to this in the morning and I'm too tired now so I want it fairly high up on the list

One thing I wonder with gene therapy so easy to administer, do you think the possibility that certain people will be required to undergo gene therapy?

Off topic. Is there any particular reason you deciding against using the words "gene therapy" in the title of a thread devoted to gene therapy? If you want biologists, doctors, and medical researchers to respond to your questions, labeling the thread in a descriptive manner will help.

Ladewig,

I didn't know what the thing was called so I just asked it as question

I'm not trying to play junior moderator. I just want to point out that if you had titled the thread "I have questions about some kind of gene-therapy proposal," you would have made it easier for people who aren't interested to ignore the thread and easier for people who are interested to find the thread.

Two words:
  • Pills
  • Injections

You see this a lot in the "arts". Newer media are always held to higher standards than existing. So something could be in a fable but was shocking in a novel. OK in a novel but in film? Will nobody think of the children? And it may be okay to show some things in films which have age ratings but to show them in video games that innocent children have access to? I swoon.

Please assume any distribution of irony and sarcasm tags that suit your agenda.

Seconded. Otherwise you just get boneheads like me and Ladewig's avatar who only read threads with names like "Check this out."

Speak for yourself. I read only threads that look profitable.
