I decided to post on the DU forum today. I had heard of it in the past, but never really thought about it much. I registered then tried to start a new thread. I was not allowed to start a new thread until I posted several times in existing threads. I posted about my brother in-law's naturalization party in a thread about how 38% of Americans could not pass the typical test given to wanna-be Americans.

The post was completely benign, but when I tried to make a second post, I got a message saying my posting privileges were revoked. Either they are very picky or someone does not like me there based on other things I have done in the past; am not really sure. An e-mail sent to the admin remains unanswered.

They have a hotbed of 9/11 twoofers there. One of them may have recognized your name from lurking here.

I'm actually a DU member, but I always confined my posts to the 9-11 dungeon. I would certainly be tombstoned quickly if I posted anything on politics.

The thing is I am more sympathetic to the Dems than the GOP. I have an agenda to promote there and it has nothing to do with 9/11. Oh well.

I tried to re-register, but I guess they got my IP address and my mom's house is dead to them. :)

Ben Burch was a prominent member of DU. Not sure if he still posts there. We Freepers (Free Republic) still make fun of some of his prior posts over there.
