Anti-Evolution Comics: For your enjoyment.

Are the "6 basic concepts of evolution" real? Or is it just something creationists cooked up?

No, that's specifically Hovind too, but it's made it's way into a lot of other Creationist claptrap. All the other areas are actually studied by Cosmology, Astrophysics and Biochemistry/Microbiology except the last one and even that's tenuous.

"Big Daddy" was written or revised with Hovind's input (you can see his influence in the "X man" list of fossils) and if you dig around Chick's website they even wrote a book on evolution together.

A Chick tract parody that doesn't just make fun.

It educates about evolution.

This has almost has a scene-by-scene debunking fo the "original" including the six claims

I just wasted most of yesterday and this morning reading all these tracts.
Funny, scary, sad.

I really love the bit about gluons.

Even a chemist like me knows that the nucleus is held together by the "strong force", which is hypothethised to be carried by gluons. Which isn't far off of Chick's accusations of "made-up particles".

But consider- something has to hold it together, which physicists have simply dubbed "the strong force" (which could just as easily have been dubbed "duct tape" or "God's velcro"). If Chick is right, and it's Christ holding the nuclei together (hold your laughter, just for a moment), then we have to ask the creationists why Christ isn't strong enough to hold together nuclei of more than a hundred protons.

Can Christ create a nucleus which is too big for Him to hold together as a stable atom? No, but we can.

Well said!
Very useful if I run into any fundie with some basic scientific knowledge. Not very likely though...
