We are sure that there is something paranormal in this claim , right? If somebody hits me on the head I might see stars although it is in a dark room.

Maybe a neurologist should answer if music, say extremely loud music, could make you see lights?

We believe that Anthony sees the lights. We also believe that following a failed test, Anthony will continue to believe in what he has seen proven invalid by the test. If the test proves to him that the lights he sees are only in his head, he will be a most unsusual applicant. The great majority of applicants will continue to believe regardless of what the test reveals.

I asked for 3 affadavits from people who saw the lights, and I got them.

There's nothing left to do but test this claim.

He seems more reasonable than most of them, and he has affadavits from other people saying that they could see the lights.

I am the one dealing with Anthony. I had a long delay in getting a response from him recently.

Anthony is young and not of great means. I have been encouraging him to get the phenomena on tape before he makes a trip over here to be tested. I don’t want to see a young person spend what little they have to travel this far just to be disappointed.

At this time, I need to get back to Anthony with a somewhat more developed test protocol, secure a location and a couple of additional observers.

I had one observer lined up, but he is not available. If anybody in the Metro Detroit area is interested in helping, PM me.

What I wanted to ask is if we are sure that the claim is paranormal. Apparently he can make other people see the lights, hence the affidavits. Anthony does not claim that the lights are actually there, just that others see them. He writes that he uses music. Could it be that they actually see lights because there is some neurological effect of the music, like when it is extremely loud, that make people see lights that are not there? In a completely dark room, people can sometimes be induced to hallucinate, and special music could perhaps be devised to do this, but that would not be paranormal.

I have just seen that there is more material published on this thread, and that makes my worries completely unfounded. I am now not in doubt that he has a truly paranormal claim.

What I wanted to ask is if we are sure that the claim is paranormal. Apparently he can make other people see the lights, hence the affidavits. Anthony does not claim that the lights are actually there, just that others see them.

Actually, the affadavits themselves are proof of absolutely nothing. Whacky people sign affadavits all the time, and I strongly believe that it is entirely possible that the 3 people who agreed to Mr. Chadwell's request to support his claim (named Tonya, Michelle and Shawn) are as self-deluded as Mr. Chadwell himself. The affadvits don't help much in this case. Perhaps JREF needs to request affadvits from doctors, lawyers or other professionals who are likely to be more discerning than Mr.Chadwell's friends, who may comprise his main support group.

And actually, Mr. Chadwell does claim to see the lights himself.
