Another terrorist attack - London Bridge

There's a person who dislikes me on this forum and always likes to respond to me with "tick tock." (he uses it in reference to the supposedly impending irrelevance of people like me as we all merge into one indistinguishable mass.)

I'm culturally appropriating it.

Tick tock.

How many of these do people really believe Europeans will tolerate before the iron fist comes down? I personally think the iron fist of xenophobic overreaction is long overdue and sorely needed. I have no doubt it will arrive eventually though.
 
Apparently it was two attacks, the other at Borough Market.

"A 3rd incident" now has police going to it in Vauxhall area.
 
Well that's about 5 minutes walk from my work and Vauxhalls not that far from my house.

I'm surprised the van came from the City side of London Bridge though as they likely drove some distance to get that route and quite frankly although Borough's busy they must have passed more crowded areas on their way there.

We endured decades of terrorist attacks by christians. It didn't lead to repression of christianity.
 
All Brits, be they Jew, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, should unite against the scourge of Islamist Extremism.
 
BBC now reporting that police are confirming fatalities.

BBC 5-Live has already spoken to lots of witnesses, inc. at least two who saw a stabbing from about 20-30 ft away across the road. That's in addition to 5 or 6 casualties on the ground after being hit by a white transit van.

Given that the largest recent survey showed:

only one in three British Muslims (34%) would contact the police if they believed that somebody close to them had become involved with jihadists.
.........

That isn't on the cards.
 
I was just going through London Bridge and at the next station officers with sub machine guns screamed at us to evacuate the station. Scary ****
