MOSCOW, Russia (CNN) -- A masked man Monday shot and killed a Russian human rights lawyer known for his work on abuses by the Russian military in the breakaway region of Chechnya, Russian media reported.

I saw a documentary on Russia the other night and a woman said that Russia did away with capital punishment except in ally ways.
