As some on the blogs have said, and as the initial reaction from folk like the National Autism Association would indicate, this will not make any difference to the tru bleevers, who continue to be textbook examples of cognitive dissonance. Vaccines are evil, always were and always will be, and that's that.

I liked one comment on a blog about the antivaxers spinning their stories "faster than a centrifuge in Wakefield's lab".

Well, can never get too many nails in that coffin, though i don't think it is possible to get enough nails into that coffin.

I think perhaps a stake through the heart is required first, or else the vampire will rise again regardless of how many nails are in the coffin lid...

They've moved their goalpost. You will notice now they are claiming that "aluminum" or other "poisons" used to make the vaccines are the cause of autism.

I honestly think we should build antivaxer schools, where the children of the deluded can infect one another at will, and ban them from the normal ones. Yes, it would kill a few innocent children, but it would throw some stark light on the problem, and increase vaccine take up. Net result: less deaths.

But nobody votes for me... :(

I'd vote for you *evil grin*
And yes, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. We need a nice demonstration of willing parties to show the spoiled just exactly what nasty viruses can do to a group. We have the willing parties, and they do get outbreaks, just not many because they are pocketed here and there. Get them all together, and we can put them in a city, and watch the very interesting experiment unfold. I think there would be at least a few million, that would be awesome to observe from afar. They like measles parties...

We would get to watch a third world develop right before our eyes, right at home! Why? Because all their docs in that city would be NDs and DCs (no MDs allowed). Their hospitals would be free of operating rooms and other things that NDs and DCs are not trained to use.

Hm. Could be a seriously cool movie if someone wants to develop the story line!

This is the problem with medical science; the more it advances, the less opportunity nature has to evolve out the stupid genes. Most vexing, but here at last we have a solution...

Solution orientated is my middle name :p Realistic is not though, unfortunately. Nice to have a dream though, as cruel as it would be, but they would welcome that city with open arms, it would be their nirvana.
