Don't worry, it's not the Danes again!

This time it's South Park upsetting Catholics in New zealand.

Catholic church leaders in New Zealand are urging a boycott of a broadcaster planning to screen an "ugly and tasteless" episode of South Park. The episode of the US animation, called Bloody Mary, depicts a bleeding statue of the Virgin Mary.

The country's prime minister, Helen Clark, said she had not seen the show but that it sounded "revolting".

Sadly, that is not an option because God wants them (and all other religious people) to do something about it...usually violently.

The thing I always wonder about is, if this omniscient, omnipotent God is so upset and easily offended, why doesn't he get up off his lazy divine a$$ and do something about it himself?

Or could it be He doesn't care one bit, and it's all just a bunch of self-righteous morons getting hysterical over nothing?!?!?!

Naaaah, couldn't be that.

But, yeah, if all these lunatics are so convinced their mighty God can do anything, why doesn't he just do His own rioting? I would pay money to see that!
 
It is so refreshing for a programme nowadays that can even though it's been on for so LONG, it can still EXTREMELY offend people.

The new pope, Benedict XVI, has come to see the statue and after being sprayed in the face with blood declares that it is not a miracle. He says that the statue wasn’t bleeding out its ass, it was bleeding out of its vagina and since chicks do that all the time, it’s no miracle.

The question was clear enough. Why the difficulty with the answer? I want to know your expectations, not your interpretation of history. Let me repeat it, with a little more texture:

Do you expect any kind of real violence (i.e. assaults, damage, arson, deaths) to come from this outcry?
 
Why are there no Free Speech demos? From this board you'd think it was something that really bothered people.

The muslims can raises thousands for some perceived insult but we just sit about moaning on the web.

Is it any wonder extremism is on the rise?

I did not understand your point. It came across something like - if we met extremism with extremism there would not be as much of it. Is that correct?
