And then there were none (new anti abortion tactic)

A new anti-abortion tactic, New to me anyway.

That is, organized spreading of disaffection among workers at family planning clinics.

http://www.attwn.org/about-us/what-we-do/

Our goal is to provide financial, emotional, spiritual and legal support to anyone wishing to leave the abortion industry. Our ministry will provide the following:

  • Emotional support as often as needed during the transition time

A spiritual advisor of the former worker’s choosing

Legal counsel who will protect the worker’s interests at no cost during transition

One month of financial support after a worker resigns
Sidewalk counselors will be trained then periodically stationed at abortion clinics to reach out to clinic workers in a calm and inviting manner in order to establish direct personal lines of communication.

Experience dictates that some workers will reach out to ATTWN because they have heard of our ministry through word of mouth. In addition, various pro-life groups have expressed a willingness to help spread the message of our ministry to current and former clinic workers.

Any person seeking help from ATTWN will be assured, without reservation, that no personal information will be disclosed.

...
Anyone here encountered this before?

WIth all the clinics being shut down in several states you'd think their funding could be exhausted rather quickly.

Not so sure about that. The quote in the OP does specify support after resigning. They probably won't offer these benefits to those that lose their job due to closure of the center.

As such, I see no reason why this would appeal to anybody who works at clinics. The only real offer of value to them is the one month pay, and that is just not enough to leave a job without having an alternative already lined up.

Fully agreed, but if a bunch of the workers applied for their help after the shutdown of the clinics, and were rejected, it would expose the hypocrisy of their offer (they aren't worried about the saving or helping the workers, just looking for "positive" publicity). I think every worker from every clinic should contact them and ask for help in finding a new job and financial assistance with their bills. Deplete their funds and they won't have as much money to cause other mischief.

How does helping a worker to leave a job more comfortably work towards their goal,
unless that goal is to try to attempt to bury the clinic temporarily with employee turnover costs and mildly irritating training stress.

Perhaps they should be incentivizing the total shutdown of the clinic, if they'd like to see measurable results. (The measure being that the clinic in the next town doubles its volume).

Shutting down the clinic is only one part of the plan. The more important goal is proselytizing to and converting workers to the group and using them as insiders whose "horror stories" can be used as PR against abortion as a whole not just the one clinic.

Harassing clinic workers isn't a new tactic, nor is trying to ingratiate themselves with those who can't be intimidated by harassment with faux friendship or offers of "support". A lot of local pro-life groups have a good cop/bad cop routine and go after patients and workers with both hoping one will be effective.

I wonder how many abortion clinic workers are secretly undercover anti-abortion zealots? Probably lots. Infiltrators who have to act as though they want to kill babies. But in their hearts they really want to adopt every little squishy bit that gets thrown into the incinerator.

Of course, they risk outing themselves if they protest, so to keep the fiction alive, they have to go the opposite way, saying things like: "Kill that darn fetus! Get it out and toss it out!" - really loudly during procedures. And on the way into the clinic, they have to argue with the protesters: "Back off, you religious scumbag. No fetus can beat us!"

Jesus forgives all.

I'd guess exactly zero. Anybody who is pro-life would never participate in abortion. If these people you speak of really exist, then they are not pro-life, have a different agenda, or are mentally ill. Maybe you don't understand the objections some have to abortion.

Why is it so wrong to support those who wish to leave the abortion industry?

I don't know - infiltration of the enemy is a pretty standard technique.

Who said it was wrong? It's good propaganda. And it fits right in with the Christian ethos which tells us about redeeming sinners by conversion. In fact, it's such a handy technique, it might work the other way round. Maybe advertise your abortion clinic job in the church newsletter, or solicit workers at Sunday School. What's good for the goose and all that.

Any business has its disgruntled employees.

I think the idea here is to find and exploit that "resource".
