Two objects, with 'similar' base size and general shape...?

Yes, I think it would be significant ENOUGH to warrant further study, theorizing that 'maybe' there was some contact between the two cultures...

I think in many ways America IS Roman, sans an Emperor for our Presidency.

*I think that without TV, the Sky is the coolest thing to look at after sunset. When 'I' erect my stones, I will absolutely incorporate a winter and summer solstice stone marker. I'll do it as way of connecting to the timelessness of the stars. I am sure that I'm not the first man through out time to do so... THIS in an of itself would not indicate 'contact' between cultures.

I assume, as I must, given the vague nature of your posts, that you're referring to some connection between Pyramids in Egypt and those steppy-looking things in Mexico.

You don't need any funding, since common sense and Google will see you through most of it. When you've truly exhausted your ability to research this online, come back and I'll demolish the rest of the theory for you.

Look, one of the cultures youre thinking about had ceased to exist 2000 years earlier and you have cherry picked the evidence to suggest a contact in the first place

Lot's of folks have subscribed to similar theories. I used to respect Thor Heyerdahl, but he went loopy over the whole idea of seafaring ancients in the end.

After a bit of thinking, I realized that almost every building in the town I'm in is oriented astronomically. Only a fool would read something metaphysical into that though. It has a lot more to do with the main street being north/south, the rest of the streets being layed out from that, either parallel or perpendicular, and the observable fact that homebuilders don't seem to like to build structures that are cockeyed on the lot. I can't help but think that at least one egyptian bigwig must have said 'ya know, if I have my tomb built pointing to my favorite star, it'll look all cockeyed compared to the rest of the tombs. Better just lay it out to match.'
