American astrologer Predicted Japan Earthquake

OK I admit, I don't really follow astrology but I thought it was using the planets and stars at your date of birth to make some predicitons about peoples' lives. So, this astrologer knows the date and time of the planet Earth's birth...or it is all making vague guesses about things and hoping people are crazy enough to go along with him. I know which side of that fence I am coming down on.

No, he didn't! He didn't predict anything, he gave a wide range of possibilities! There is no hope for you to understand reality, I can't make it any simpler.

Not the least be impressive. What would be more impressive is if the prediction was actually specific.

Not convincing stuff I am afraid Astro, having read all the comments and the details of the prediction. The prediction was a scatter gun approach leaving far to much to random chance in an area prone to seismic actvity.

Where is his prediction for the Christchurch quake, by the way?

He gave 20 specific dates, covered the entire month of March elsewhere, mentioned 10 separate countries and covered the magnitudes of 6.6 through to 9.2 in an area where 90% of the worlds earthquakes occur and 80% of the largest ones manifest.

I'm not giving a pass.

In other words, the page was updated in the last week.

He says there are more big earthquakes to come in March and April and he gives the regions and magnitudes, including California.

So those 'skeptics' who said it cannot be done, here's some news for all you:

An earthquake in an earthquake zone? Who would have thought it? Can you give me some examples of his predictions that failed? I will bet that there a lot more of those. Even a blind a blind pig finds a truffle sometimes.

He did not. He threw a lot into the mix and picked three bits out after the event. The impressiveness is not terrific. The fact that you have resorted to insults and calumny so early in the thread shows that you have no argument. You lose.

A 6.6 to 7.9 quake occurs somewhere on Earth roughly 10 times every month, or a couple of times a week. I can predict that will occur with a higher level of accuracy by looking at this web page and doing some grade school math in my head. Sure sucks to use something as stupid and useless as astrology when any ten year old kid can make more accurate predictions using science.

Hi Astro Teacher. I think one thing that would be helpful right now is for Mr. White to predict when and where the next big earthquake (say magnitude 7+) will happen. Is there anywhere on his site where he makes a specific prediction about this? If so, and the prediction subsequently comes true, I for one will be a lot more open to the possibility that Mr. White has the predictive ability he claims. Further, such a prediction could open the eyes of the world, and actually save lives -- which, if I were in Mr. White's position, would be my primary objective; he must feel very frustrated at the moment that he had the power to prevent the loss of thousands of lives (and maybe more if the nuclear situation in Japan worsens) but could not do so.

Unfortunately, people claiming after the fact to have predicted a major world event are a dime a dozen. Mr. White can distinguish himself from that lot by offering a before-the-fact prediction, one that is specific, unlikely, and unambiguous. (Again, the world is full of people making vague, ambiguous predictions that could be interpreted in all sorts of ways, or ones that when you boil them down predict events that are all but inevitable.)

Predictions for May 2011

The New Moon of May 3 shows that real estate values continue to plunge. Many people who have been unable to sell their homes will ultimately go into foreclosure after two years of being unable to meet mortgage payments.

The transits of Spring 2011 also show a worsening of the employment picture, particularly for the west coast and the state of California. Much of the economic damage done over the years begins to come to a head in 2011.

There is simply no let up from the severe economic climate during the spring of 2011.

The Gemini transits of June show many more people on the roads, relocating from regions that are economically depressed seeking new lives and careers.

So, if you want to get ahead of all the traffic, then the month of March is better used than is June to make those changes.

Uncanny. Only a talented astrologer could foresee events such as these. If the mainstream media is not reporting on this man it must be because of an international conspiracy to keep him down.



ETA: it gets worse

Perhaps a new entertainer, film, artwork, or piece of music will capture the public imagination in a very big way this Spring, with vivid imagination and romance prominent. (Can Justin Bieber get bigger?)

Not just a new entertainer, he is predicting that a film or a piece of art or a song or a new entertainer "perhaps will be big in spring."
