Merged All things Trump + Russia

Here's an interview with the lawyer, for people who aren't "clever" enough to know that every Russian is a government offical, Kremlin aide and Putin troll.

Mmmmmh, nothing burgers, go get em. :D

What?! Tonight, we dine on Putinbrust Salatteller. It's going to be delicious ...

Donald Trump Jr in July 2016, one month after he met with a Russian operative for the express purpose of obtaining dirt on Hillary, having been told the Russian government was behind the dirt:

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Sickening to say the least!! Russia meddled in the 2016 presidential election and bringing down the United States and Trump is allowing the Russians to do it.

Fox news is reporting that this will "embolden critics of the president".

:D

They also spent time on the story that Trump oversaw Mosul operation as if it only started after he was sworn in, and that Trump's excellent diplomacy led to this cease-fire in Syria that is holding (not sure it is) and how Trump has such respect world-wide.

Then they went to a pundit who swore the dirt Jr was digging up was that the Ukrainians were paying into the DNC and/or Clinton campaign. It's hard to keep track of all these Clinton crimes. No mention of course as to how this pundit knew what the dirt was given Jr says no dirt was obtained.

Pence is making an issue to point out that the collusion began before he joined the campaign.

I expect him to distance himself from this as much as he can.

Here's a good article from back in may:

Mike Pence would like you to know that Mike Pence is not involved in any of this. At least that appears to be the message coming from Pence’s allies, and perhaps the vice president himself, as the Trump White House reels from a series of interlocking scandals that threaten all manner of political peril, even potentially an impeachment or resignation that could make Pence the president of the United States.

All of a sudden we’re seeing a wave of articles in which anonymous sources close to Pence tell reporters that he’s completely out of the loop, to use the phrase that then-Vice President George H.W. Bush uttered so memorably when claiming his innocence in the Iran-Contra scandal. But can we believe it? And even if it’s true, isn’t that nearly as much of an indictment of Pence?

Let’s begin with this report from NBC’s Vaughn Hillyard:

Vice President Mike Pence has been kept in the dark about former National Security Adviser Mike Flynn’s alleged wrongdoing, according to a source close to the administration, who cited a potential “pattern” of not informing the vice president and calling it “malpractice or intentional, and either are unacceptable.”

Nobody tells him anything! How can he possibly have any culpability for administration wrongdoing when he’s barely involved in any of this running-the-government stuff? Sources close to Pence would also like you to know that “Pence was not consulted about the decision to bring on Flynn as the national security adviser in November.” I barely know the guy, I tell ya.

He was either willfully ignorant of the collusion, despite more than enough circumstantial evidence pointing towards it, or he was simply incompetent and can't be trusted to keep tabs on his people.

President Donald Trump broke his silence Tuesday afternoon, praising his embattled eldest son for his "transparency" after going three days without a single comment on the deepening scandal about Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with a Kremlin-linked lawyer during the height of the campaign.

“My son is a high-quality person, and I applaud his transparency,” Trump said, according to deputy White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who read the statement to reporters at Tuesday's off-camera press briefing.

Until then, Trump had been conspicuously silent about the growing firestorm involving Trump Jr., who is facing more revelations about a meeting he held in June 2016 with a Russian lawyer promising damaging information about Hillary Clinton.

Trump has kept a light schedule since returning from the G-20 summit in Germany on Saturday, making no public appearances. He had been active on Twitter, but his messages ranged from railing against Democrats to bringing the Olympics to Los Angeles to defending his daughter Ivanka’s role at the G-20. There have been no tweets about Trump Jr.

I have a hard time seeing that statement coming from Donald Trump. It sounds more like something his lawyers wrote. I wouldn't be surprised if they are working behind the scenes to make him the fall guy.

I don't know. "High-quality person" sure sounds like something he'd blurt out.
That's not the best part. Calling what's happening "transparency" is the hilarious part. "I applaud my hellspawn for his transparency. Making several contradictory statements about a highly suspect meeting months after the meeting took place and months after going on CNN to ridicule the very idea of Russians attempting to influence the election is exactly the kind of irreproachable behavior we encourage in my administration."

Yeah, there's that, too. Didn't he go on FOX too? Or was that the other hellspawn? They all look the same to me.
