Evidence for this part? It's not unthinkable, but... trying to create divisions between Ukraine and the US during the Obama Administration (as was also specifically said in 6) would seem to be far more indicated, with that work simply then being more emphasized and taken advantage of when Biden became candidate.

That is my opinion, based on my (admittedly incomplete) knowledge of US politics. As wareyn said, in 2014, Biden would have been a very likely Dem candidate for 2016 and while the Russians had other reasons to stoke distrust between the US and Ukraine, the fact that they used the Biden family as a conduit seems to me to lead to the obvious conclusion that they saw him as a threat to their plan to put their useful idiot in the White House.

Thread bump...

From: CTV News
Russian President Vladimir Putin likely directed efforts to try to swing the 2020 U.S. presidential election to Donald Trump, according to an American intelligence report...The 15-page report, released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, added heft to longstanding allegations that some of Trump's top lieutenants were playing into Moscow's hands by amplifying claims made against then-candidate Joe Biden by Russian-linked Ukrainian figures... It also added new findings that Putin either oversaw or at least approved of the election meddling to benefit Trump.
...
The report also punctured a counter-narrative pushed by Trump's allies that China was interfering on Biden's behalf, concluding that Beijing "did not deploy interference efforts."...U.S. officials said they also saw efforts by Cuba, Venezuela and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah to influence the election, although "in general, we assess that they were smaller in scale than those conducted by Russia and Iran."

I have to admit, I am a little surprised... Even if Russia preferred a Trump victory, the poor polling and approval ratings suggested Biden would be the likely winner even if Russia did help, so by trying to interfere on Trump's behalf in 2020 they will ruin any sort of plausible deniability.

That is so despicable! To interfere in the elections of a country that would never stoop to interfering in the elections in other countries!

Some more stuff on Russia and the Republicans...

From: MSNBC
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) this week released a declassified intelligence community assessment on foreign threats to our 2020 elections...multiple references in the intelligence community's findings to a pro-Russian official by the name of Andriy Derkach....
...
Derkach claimed he fed information to Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.)...Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-N.Y.) pressed Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.)...on whether the Republican had received anti-Biden information from Derkach....Maloney spoke yesterday to MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace and said, "[T]he fact is that [Russian operatives] were so comfortable using people like Devin Nunes that Andriy Derkach -- a known Russian asset -- sent information to Devin Nunes at the Intelligence Committee. We literally had the package receipt."

Should be a surprise to absolutely know one that Nunes and Johnson are basically Russian stooges.

The turds don't fall far from the Trumphole.

To poke at a story from today...

Kremlin papers appear to show Putin’s plot to put Trump in White House

Exclusive: Documents suggest Russia launched secret multi-agency effort to interfere in US democracy

The papers apparently pass all the checks that could reasonably be done on them other than Russian government confirmation, which wouldn't be expected in the first place for a leak like this.

To poke at one section of note, though...

The report – “No 32-04 \ vd” – is classified as secret. It says Trump is the “most promising candidate” from the Kremlin’s point of view. The word in Russian is perspektivny.

There is a brief psychological assessment of Trump, who is described as an “impulsive, mentally unstable and unbalanced individual who suffers from an inferiority complex”.

There is also apparent confirmation that the Kremlin possesses kompromat, or potentially compromising material, on the future president, collected – the document says – from Trump’s earlier “non-official visits to Russian Federation territory”.

“impulsive, mentally unstable and unbalanced individual who suffers from an inferiority complex”.

How dare they say that when he hasn't been interviewed in person by them!!;)

Seriously, it's scary that the Russians can see that but 71 million Americans apparently can't. Or, if they do, think it's perfectly acceptable for a man who is “impulsive, mentally unstable and unbalanced individual who suffers from an inferiority complex” to be POTUS. Either way, that makes them idiots.

More important than not destroying your country is triggering the Libs.

Biden won the 2020 election the same way Trump won the 2016 election: Fair and square. Don't let anyone tell you different, not Hillary, not Qanon.
Because of what we know about the Trump campaign colluding with Russia, I reject this.

Fair & square has never been Trumpie's modus. He's always preferred underhanded dealings -- yes, literally and actually preferred them over honesty. That's a disconcerting kind of personality when you first encounter it, and nobody's to blame for initially wanting to deny its existence.

But guys like that really live, and they mean to thrive. I've had the bad luck to meet some. One was frank about his crooked nature; if he's out of the joint by now, he'll be engineering swindles and frauds somewhere.

Probably right out in the open.

In yet another incredibly stunning and yet completely normal bit of news these days, now a Russian man has boldly admitted to interfering with U.S. elections as well as admitting to starting a Russian mercenary company.

Russia's Prigozhin admits interfering in U.S. elections

LONDON (Reuters) - Russian businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin said on Monday he had interfered in U.S. elections and would continue doing so in future, the first such admission from a figure who has been formally implicated by Washington in efforts to influence American politics.

In comments posted by the press service of his Concord catering firm on Russia's Facebook equivalent VKontakte, Prigozhin said: "We have interfered (in U.S. elections), we are interfering and we will continue to interfere. Carefully, accurately, surgically and in our own way, as we know how to do."

...

"During our pinpoint operations, we will remove both kidneys and the liver at once," Prigozhin said. He did not elaborate on the cryptic comment.

...

In September he admitted to founding the Kremlin-aligned Wagner Group mercenary group, which is active in Syria, Africa and Ukraine. Last Friday it opened a defence technology centre in St Petersburg, a further step by Prigozhin to highlight his military credentials.

Also, remember that Trump benefitted from campaign finance violations-the payments to Stormy Daniels (that Cohen went to jail for, but strangely enough not Trump, the man who actually paid the money), and the "catch-and-kill" story of another affair.

Not exactly a sign of "fair and square" if you have to get help from foreign countries and break the election laws in order to win.

The only thing surprising about this is Prigozhin being so open about it. Expect it to only get worse with Elon Musk now owning Twitter.

Given the collusion that occurred, and given the efficacy of the drip-drip-drip via WikiLeaks, and given Trump's paper thin margin of victory ...

No, the election was not fair and square. it was filthy. Blatantly so. To put skeptics on par with qanon is flat out delusional.
