Alex Jones - Oh Come on

What amuses me about Alex is what a poltical whore he is. He will swing to the left or the right depending on where the suckers are this week. During the Bush Administration he did a great deal of hobnobbing with with fringe left wing leaders, now he is doing it with fringe right wing leaders.
As somone said a couple of years ago, if Ron Paul was elected president, Alex would immediately "Prove" that Paul was a tool of the Illuminati....

That's something a reptilian would say. I see your avatar reptilian! Don't think your mind control device has worked on me!!

There are no such things as Reptilians. They are a diversion created by The Skrulls....

It is telling that he didn't get the level of exposure he's had these last few years until he stared pandering to the right.

No! No!
My avatar is Natale Portman. You are getting sleepy. Natale Portman.

Well, to be fair about it, if Ron Paul were elected president, then the Illuminati might be the most rational explanation.

N.B. If this wants to be in CS, that's ok, but I'm not planning on discussing the sick theory presented here, just asking how this guy keeps an audience.

The tornados, he says, were a gummint weapon. What?

Well, given all the other stuff that appears on Prison Planet and that Alex Jones has spouted in the past, isn't it asking a bit much to think that his regular readers followers would only now think, "I can't buy this!"

These days I think there is no point reading Alex Jones to be outraged by his ridiculous theories.

First...how can people stand to listen to ths guy? I know, right-wing kooks like Limbaugh or Hannity supposedly are easy to listen to, but Alex Jones has quite possibly the most annoying voice I can imagine.

Second, um, what? I like how he just rattles off agencies that are supposedly in on the conspiracy . "The NSA, the National Weather Service, GLAAD, Cobra, the Decepticons...blah blah blah!" Jones is a pretty god look into the mind of a lunatic, I guess, but he's less than useless, aside from that.

Yikes. In another thread I was joking about Alex Jones and thought I was just making up that he thought that.

I guess it's impossible to insult the guy by falsely attributing bizarre and irrational CT beliefs to him, because there is pretty much no CT so bizarre and irrational that he wouldn't believe it!

How does this guy keep his audience of believers? Somebody tell me that, ok?

Even though we have antipsychotic drugs effective at controlling delusional and paranoid thinking, compliance is difficult.

(That is, I think the reason they buy his bizarre ideas is that they too are off their meds.)

I don't really like that expression. There are plenty of parts of the world where very few people spend their lives medicated on anti-psychotic drugs and yet those places don't seem to have widely popular conspiracy theorists.

Maybe instead, they are actually on drugs, which is why their brains have rotted.

Alex had LOTS of exposure in the early 2000's, and was the Darling of the 9/11 Truth Movement (which for the most part was dominated by Fringe elements of The Left) for a while. He went into decline, and then, after the election of Obama, moved back into prominence by catering to the militant right. Alex will cater to whoever he thinks he can sell his garbage to.

This Alex Jones thread in the conspiracy forum, no you'd need a mental illness forum.
