Alabama declares carbon reduction to be sacrilege

Alabama looked at federal guidelines to reduce carbon output by cutting coal consumption and declared that this violates God's Law. Which law would that be? Uh.....apparently the law that says natural things are to be used. Sort of like how we throw black mambas into nurseries and never, ever shoot a lion that strays into a place of human habitation. And viruses, how we never ever try to eliminate them because, again, they are God's gift!

While I'm very tempted to smugly pass this off as another example of US stupidity, Australia has a Prime Minister who has declared climate change as "crap", and most of our power is produced by our massive amounts of coal.

We don't have the religious motivation to burn coal like Alabama. Just the political motivation......

Australia has deserts in abundance and could, theoritcally produce enough solar power for the entire world. But our solar panel industry is being hamstrung by government subsidy reductions.

They hold a silly position, but not as silly as you make out.

Their position is that humans can use any of God's resources in any useful manner. God put lions on Earth; mankind can do whatever it wants to lions, hunt them, eat them, wear their skins, and shoot them if they threaten human dwellings.

As for eliminating things like virii, that is not prohibited by Scriptures. Mankind can make any species (or non-human life form ) extinct while still adhering to the God-made-it-all-for-us doctrine.
