Excellent point. And you can tell the photo is being misrepresented.. Gore would never shoot himself in the head.

It is common practice for Mr. Wasser to try to drag every politician he doesn't like through the mud, and he us usually wrong. This is one of those times. The parallax problem with the photo has already been mentioned, but the whole "Al Gore was a wuss in Viet Nam has been thoroughly debunked by Snopes.

And I'd trust Al with a gun much sooner than I'd trust the Sinister Wanker.

With a grain of salt. I don't deny my partisanship, why should you?

A couple of fair points.

Hopefully, as you have noted, I haven't denied my partisanship, indeed I think it is pretty obvious. I have never denied being a partisan.

THough, I am sure as you might argue, being a partisan doesn't make one wrong. However, it can certainly lead to being unfair, intemperate, and devoid of humor (a fault I am occassionally subject to ).

In any event, your comments regarding unfairly tagging Bush as an AWOL is fair and mine were not. I apologize, I let my heart (as will happen) rule my head.

One cheap shot for another is a bad practice. In responding to NTW's juvinile cheapshot, I should have -- and could have -- merely stayed to the facts of Al Gore's honorable service I was wrong to impune the President -- though I would suggest that the Bush case is not yet settled (and on that we may just have to agree to disagree).
