This is not surprising at all. Disgusting but not surprising. Religions have always taken advantage of people in times of tragedy, they know people are vulnerable and see it as an opportunity to snag more punters. Just more chances for them to say "believe or suffer". More opportunities for them to control the faithful with fear and terror.

Did you not see the "please buy our products which, while not relevant to this article, need to be pushed as we are overstocked" part at the very end.

I am honor-bound to do nothing. In my experience, honor is generally an excuse to be an idiot. If I found out there was an omnipotent god who could have me tortured forever, I'd kiss his ass no matter how wretched a thing he was, assuming I wasn't already beyond redmption. If I was, then I'd jack off in his face, because semen is more amusing than spittle.
