It doesn't reflect what I've said at all.

I was really just pointing out how your statement was a prediction and not (yet) a fact.

At some point in the future, the scientific community is going to have to take the position gods are fictional.

Just saying.

Nothing in that statement says I'm predicting the future.

oops! I guess we got confused when you made a definitive statement about "some point in the future..."

But I am saying there is no reason to deny reality because new evidence might be found in the future.

Nobody is denying reality. Also, if more evidence may be found in the future for any subject at all, then our understanding of the reality of said subject is flawed. Which means that reality was not intentionally denied, but simply NOT YET KNOWN.

Again... I'm a Militant Agnostic. I don't know and neither do you.
