Well, the late night video shows on Friday and Saturday night turned out better than I could have possible hoped for. You just can't beat Penn & Teller plus South Park's 'Biggest Douche In The Universe' shown back to back. Then to top it off citytom, who lives nearby, taped Friday nights ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ and brought it in so we could see it Saturday night. What can I say but... Amazing!
Linda said she got a lot of positive feedback and we'll plan on doing it again next year. But it'll be hard to top. The coincidence of South Park having just aired the John Edward dig and Penn & Teller starting their ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ series provided a hard to duplicate combination.
Of course the man who deserves ALL the credit is Dave the video guru. I actually didn't do anything but announce what was going to be shown, Dave did ALL the work.
I didn't get all the video's that were volunteered returned, so what was left behind was given to Linda. The two that were left were the Derren Brown 'Mind Control' tape (we didn't have time to show it, hopefully next year) which buddyh provided and Penn & Teller's 1st show in the series (I don't remember who left it, we had several brought in), so Linda's got them both.
Of course I kept the 5th quadrant tape that segnosaur brought myself. I need to 'review' it closely before showing (I'm a big 'Red Green' fan and it's done by the same people). I promise I'll bring it back next year.
And let's thank Dave one more time. Not only did he provide a great copy of 'The Biggest Douche...', he had edited all the commercials out of it. What a guy!
Oh, and if you wondered why you didn't see my nick on the 'Attendees' list, it's because Linda used my full nick, osoalegre (happy bear in Spanish).
