Merged AE911T's Experts Speak Out Tour

Here is the schedule:

Date|Time|State|City|Venue
05/21|6:30 PM|CA|San Diego|Joyce Beers Center; 3900 Vermont St. (Hillcrest/Uptown Shopping Center across from Trader Joe's)

So they're scientific experts on a national tour to change the world's understanding of modern history... and their first stop has to be described as "across from Trader Joe's."

That is all.

On his recent Canada tour, Gage drew the largest crowd not in Vamcouver or Montreal, but in Moncton, New Brunswick. Funny, eh?

Bozeman is the site of Human's first contact with the Vulcans ;)

I think this is a case of members being able to rent a room.

I think this whole tour is a case of being able to rent a room. Most of these event sites sound like "third floor, last meeting room on the right, next to the vending machines." The rest look like "alternative" movie theaters and bookstores that normally offer fringe material like this.

These are the best venues they can get for a worldwide scientific truth tour? (And I still love "next to Trader Joe's.")

I believe their choice in the AIA venues is going to come back to bite them. If these shows don't show in attendance (and conversion) a large percentage of architects (and professionals) it will prove he is "preaching to the choir". He's essentially going to their house, If they decide not to be home, it's going to be tough to make the case this profession is taking him seriously. The fact they don't list it on their calender of events is not a good sign (for Gage).

I contacted both the NY and Washington AIA venues. I asked if these events were sponsored by or endorsed by the AIA. The reply was a resounding NO!

Both replied that the:

"AIA does not support the views of the event coordinators or the views expressed"

"this is not a sanctioned AIA event".

I don't expect there to be many AIA members at either event.

Agreed, but I think that has already happened. He's been renting booths at AIA shows and other such things "in their house" for a few years now, to no apparent effect. I don't think this is the year that makes or breaks his credibility; it's already broken.

Every profession has its crackpots: maybe they just tolerate him. I bet he's not the only AIA member putting on a woo presentation.

As for "preaching to the choir", I think all you have to do is look at the rest of his venues to see that's exactly what he's doing. Tiny, cheap venues in carefully-selected locations, including the usual gamut of alternative bookstores and movie theaters. These aren't the venues you book if you want to bring a shocking truth to the masses; they're the venues you book when you have a certain kind of small but loyal target audience.

Seats 161. Someone want to bet they claim 500 turned out?

ETA: And it's not even shown on their own calendar - and they apparently rent the space to lots of people. Further, I'm guessing this room, maximum, costs $2000... probably closer to $1000.

Lot of crappy little venues and a blitzkrieg tour. I think Dick's not getting the donations that he used to get any longer. Just a suspicion. Even Truthers expect something in the way of results or some new shtick after three years. Mayhaps the act is wearing thin.

Hey I might be able to go to the New York City ones! Who else would go too?

I just noticed this:

Fund mktg/venue cross for multi-city cross-country tour for the final edition World Premiere of our ...

Maybe I don't get it but isn't there something inherently wrong with the "final edition" of a "world premiere"? How many "world premieres" does one get?
