What was the psychotic behavior, and who made that determination/diagnosis?

That's the problem, there WAS NO diagnosis. The mother simply stated that that was the case. She never tried to have the kid diagnosied.

I'm not sure what it is you're "just saying". I was responding to Checkmite, who seem's pretty convinced that this woman should not continue to be this child's mother. So, "getting rid of him" in one way or another is pretty much the only manner to deal with the problem.

I don't believe that getting rid of the child is the only option in dealing with such a situation, but, in hindsight, in the knowledge of how she actually did deal with the problem, I'm taking it as a given that those other options are off the table.

I'm just saying one person's ceiling is another man's floor.

It is within the bounds of a critically thinking person's skills to consider how someone frames an issue in order to more objectively consider that issue themselves. I was merely pointing out there was more than one way to frame this issue.
