ACORN filmmaker arrested

I see. Again with the guilt by association. For having a debate.

This is PC at it's worst. We cannot debate any contentious or controversial issues because any association with a controversial speaker means guilt by association. We can't ever have a debate about the holocaust in an attempt to discredit holocaust deniers, because we would be "attending a conference where holocaust denier X was the 'lead speaker'".

Got it.

I'm pretty sure that's not what he meant.

Anyone feel like digging through the CT section for examples of where Walter may have conversed with a Holocaust denier? ;)

I agree. People who use logic like that never intend for it to be used against them.

I assume you've already found it so why don't you post it?

Don't be coy. Oh, come on, just call me a truther and be done with it. I have an actual video of me "conversing" (in real life!) with a white supremacist if you like to see that... and I've "conversed" with truthers (again in real life)... the "evidence" is on my You Tube channel.

Edit: Come on, Swordy, you're still online and I'm calling your bluff. Let's see those threads of me "conversing" with those Holocaust deniers.

Because I haven't.

If I see you conjuring up bizarre conspiracy theories, I will. But thus far, you have not.

I have an actual video of me "conversing" (in real life not online) with a white supremacist if you like to see that.

That might actually be interesting to see.

But why though, is it ok for you to talk to these people but not for James O'Keefe?

There are photos and videos of me with a whole host of unsavories. That's why I'm anonymous here. :)

Because I haven't been busted yet in a U.S. Senator's office? :D

But seriously, I posted that link as background. There was no guilt by associated insinuation. That's your spin. O'Keefe, like a lot of conservatives, does have an obsession with race so the quote I posted was relevant.

I really haven't seen 'an obsession with race' and I have read the relevant articles. What am I missing?

ETA bloggy link, since it's a bloggy story.

I stand corrected. It was a debate with Taylor as one of the participants.

Some interesting comments from The Washington Independent reporter David Weigel on young campus conservatives who sponsor these types of events.

One thing I noticed from the article:
I’ve known campus conservative activists for a decade, and I know the people who put together the 2006 forum quite well.

He says this, but does not include O'Keefe in the list of organizers, as Blumenthal asserted in his article. So Weigel knows the organizers, and O'Keefe was not one of them.

In fact, Weigel's confident assertion regarding O'Keefe's motives appears to be based on knowing other people that he thinks/assumes/believes are or were like O'Keefe, and not based on knowing O'Keefe, even slightly.

Really? The event O'Keefe describes seems very different from the event you claim he attended. If O'Keefe's testimony is really your best evidence, could you please explain why you reject almost all of it?

That O'Keefe's testimony on so many matters conflicts with reality, it is highly useful against him and useless against anyone else.
