AA77 FDR Data, Explained

This Sgt. William Lagasse?

I want to make sure I have the right guy.

Oh you've got the right guy Sophie...

The same guy who said he saw the window shades pulled down on a jet going 530 mph while he is under a gas station canopy refueling his patrol car.

Yeah that guy...

His location:

Traffic headed south on Interstate 395 just across the Potomac River and Washington, D.C. was light.

That would put him just after the 14th st bridge, does it not?
No, it puts him near the Pentagon, which is across the Potomac River from DC.

You said you have statements of people who witnessed something other than a AA 757. Where are they?

Uhhh, maybe he was on the Pentagon side of the Potomac(just past it).
I've been there. At 40 mph, you are past the Pentagon in less than a minute once you've crossed the bridge.

Uh yeah, on the Pentagon side of the Potomac. That's what I said. And???

I've been there too. On the "Pentagon side of the Potomac just past it" would explain why it was "noiseless", but wouldn't explain how he saw all those glorious details.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe some of these people were just deducing based on later reports in the day?

He clearly states he's across the river from DC. You should try comprehending what you're reading, it will open up a whole new world...

What would be the chances of a Pentagon gas station employee reporting exactly what the plane did from the Navy Annex on, being exactly the same thing that the plane did in the NTSB animation did?

Anti-sophist you seem to have it all figured out, maybe you can figure out those numbers.

Just curious have you spoke with any witnesses who saw the plane?

Did you know about the witnesses who described a plane that looked nothing like an American Airlines? Have you spoke with them?

do you mean stopping in mid air? missing the light poles?

the aircraft wake could do a lot of damage, it has cause other planes to turn upside down while flying close to the ground, burners now

Can we take this eye-witness jibberjabber to some other thread...

This thread is meant for debunking of stupid FDR claims.

No one is ever going to convince JDX to take the eye witness evidence in its totality, like a real investigator, so let's try not to turn this thread into JDX's mental cesspool.

AAAANNNND???

Do you even realize what you are saying? Apparently not.

Trust me I do.

Pull up Google earth and try that again. Place him on 395, "just across the river" from DC.

Good God man. To me "just across" is pretty much open to interperetation. Anyhow, it was gliding almost noiselessly because of something called the speed of sound. At 580 mph, the plane could be on top of you before you'd hear it..

The 757/767 use Inertial Reference Position for position updating. GPS is only used for terrain floor mapping in the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Systems and Airshow(the moving map display in passenger entertainment system).

IRS isnt as accurate as GPS, not even close. It can display both Magnetic Heading as well as True(there is a mag/true switch).

Also, the IRS postion was sampled, recorded and plotted and is available in the CSV file.

I could not find any position information from the FDR data.

Did you find it somewhere?

I check the first pdf on flight 77, and could not find position, but I may have missed it.

-No, it was related to the FDR

-Such venom. Can you get the NTSB or the avionics company to explain the anomalies? The Avionics/flight data people that have been contacted regarding this were surprised and at a loss for the anomalies. They didn't use such complex terms like "stupid".

-Am I supposed to be JDX? More CT's.

Ok hooty. Whatever you say. You ain't gettin' it.

Be back another time.

There are no anomalies. This is a lie. The anomalies are solely in the minds of people who cannot interpret the data properly. That's the unfortunate reality. This is like a doctor trying to explain why witchcraft isn't going to cure cancer to a voodoo priest.

So let me get this right... first you quote him to evidence your point:

Yes it's documented. Sgt. William Lagasse also placed the plane on that side of the gas station as well.

Six posts later you insinuiate he is a liar
The same guy who said he saw the window shades pulled down on a jet going 530 mph while he is under a gas station canopy refueling his patrol car.

I mean.. either is trustworthy citizen doing his best to recount the days events.. or he's a government planted disinfo agent. You can't really have it both ways.
