A war in heaven

How long do you think it will take before "God" gets bored with not torturing and murdering his people? You can bet he will start something to give him an excuse to clean house in heaven and use all his wonderful magic to accomplish it.

It has just struck me that sky daddy is a lot like a physically abusive husband. He starts off real nice then explodes in anger. Then he says he is sorry but it is the people's (wife's) fault. He's good for a bit then hits the ceiling again. Then he promises, if the people will just behave themselves and stick with him until after the end of the world (after he has really gone nuts) he will be mister nice again.

My advice to anyone caught up in such a relationship (a Christian or Muslim perhaps) would be to seek help and get out of the house (church).

It seems unarguable to me that a whole new religion was formed during the captivity and taken back to Palestine as "True Judaism". Not only does that fit the Biblical story but it would be odd if it didn't happen. Judaism only became monotheistic at this time. So the source of the War in Heaven is surely Babelonian or Persian. Is it also present in Islamic mythology?

The Babylonian influence (itself influenced by Zoroastrianism) during the captivity is undeniable.

As for Islamic mythology - I'm unsure. But my guess would be - as Xianity's brother religion - Islam still derives from the OT - thus it has the same core problems.
