I finally figured it out, it CAN save a life.

Salt is capable of causing De-Hydration. If you were to put it in a container of water, Dilute it, Shake it, Eventually, you would get VERY Diluted salt, which would cure dehydration. This could possibly SAVE LIVES!

Not in the quantities the homoeopaths usually use it. Though I did see one thread by one of them who had felt unwell while cycling on a hot day, and had put some sort of remedy in her water bottle and kept sipping it, and unsurprisingly began to feel a lot better.

I think Badly Shaved Monkey got banned for saying, "you were thirsty, you had a drink, of course you felt better." He was certainly banned on another occasion for telling one of them who was dementing on about his multitudinous symptoms, "you have a cold. It will get better."

The obvious problem with the plan being that if you diluted the water to homeopathic levels there would no longer be the salt you need to sweat in it. But, it would be a great placebo...

My major problem with homeopathy is this: Given how diluted a 30c solution is (diluted to 1:100 30 times over?) how can I be sure it remembers the hemlock or st Johns Wart or whatever? What happens if instead the water decides to remember some of the other stuff that has been in it. Like sewage, typhoid, whales, dead people, oil, and myself. What if the water remembers that time I was in a boat miles from anywhere and got very VERY ill? (What if the water holds a grudge?) I mean if all the water needs to remember an active ingredient is one molecule in a swimming pool the size of our planet, there is no telling WHAT it may be remembering.

Every single drop of water you ever drink is seething with homeopathic poisons.

Are you kidding? If I drink water, and homeopathy is real, then it is as likely to remember that one time when I was toddler and a swimming pool gave me an upset tummy, as it is to remember what ever rubbish pseudo-hollistic "cure" the water peddlar wants to give me...

I can't tell if you are just kidding as well, or genuine.

In case of the latter:

Water quenches thirst, so any water-based homoeopathic remedy (in other words, any flask file with water and labelled "homoeopathic) quenches thirst, be it a little bit.

It's the later. I don't seriously expect water to hold a grugde against me. I just find it amusing that homeopathy fails to sustain its own logic. Sure it remembers X, but what about everything else it has ever diluted?

That's one of the big questions. They try to answer with something about how succussing is different than ordinary mixing, but can't show how.

The whole thing makes no sense, so it's best not to dwell on the specifics. Just make sure everyone knows it makes no sense and can't possibly work.
