A question for atheists.

Let's say tomorrow God were proven to be true. Heaven, Hell, Jesus, eternal Salvation, eternal Damnation, Sacrifice, Resurrection etc.

Then what? What would you do? Would you join Satan in rebeling against God? Or will you come to the winning team and spare yourself eternal torment in the lake that burneth with fire and brimestone?

Personally, I'd go troll-hunting with heavy ordnance. If that isn't an entry into heaven, nothing is.

I think I can speak for most atheists when I say that if there was irrefutable proof offered, then obviously we'd all say "Well, we got that wrong" and be on the side that doesn't involve our flesh being flayed off our bones for all eternity.

The problem you have is that nobody has ever come even remotely close to offering anything like irrefutable proof. Which is why we don't believe in Gods. Simple, really.

So you would accept Christ as your Savior then?

The whole troll thing is now becoming just a pathetic and pitiful attempt at shutting the truth up. Ain't going to happen. God's Word cannot be stopped.

How do you know people are just crazy? If someone says that they see Satan and demons, they will get locked up. How do you know they really aren't seeing Satan and demons?

Well, that depends on which God turns out to provide the irrefutable proof. As far as I can tell at the moment, Christ could easily be just one in a very long string of false gods, because there is no decent evidence to make me think differently. But if God turned up and supported your claim, and accepting Christ is the only way to avoid an eternity of pain then yes, of course I would. What do you think, that I'm some sort of masochist?

So if irrefutable proof of God who's Word is found in The Holy Bible was found, you would accept Christ as your Savior?

By the way, in case you're thinking about getting all excited about the prospect of a soul to save, I think it's only fair to warn you that any evidence provided by a human being is not going to be adequate.

The only thing that will convince me would be God popping up in Piccadilly Circus, saying "Watch this!" and then performing some Old Testament style miracle - stopping the sun in the sky would be a good one.

And then he'd better give us a quick look at Hell, just so we know he's not making it up.

After that, I'll stand shoulder to shoulder with as much of the heavenly host as you like. But anything else is just words.

Either you, 1inChrist, are crazy OR you, 1inSatan, need an excocism. It's a tough choice ...

No. See my pre-emptive post above :D

The Bible is just words. They could easily have been written by someone making things up. Plus, there is far too much error in it for me to accept that anything it says was divinely influenced.

Any supposed miraculous information in there is either (a) highly subject to interpretation or (b) a lucky hit, of a type you're likely to get now and then if you produce enough output. (See Nostradamus et al)

I guess it's one of those things where we take the 99.999999% probability of a lunatic over the 0.000001% chance of incarcerating an innocent guy.

I'm fairly certain that everyone is tired of your "what if...?" games by now.

Why don't you be a good little sock puppet and come up with something more interesting
