A pardon for Mrs. (and maybe Mr.) Clinton?

They have spent hundreds of millions investigating her and nothing stuck. There is nothing to go to trial, so it will have to be political prisoners to keep that campaign promise.
 
I think he might pardon her. It gets around the need to bring charges for crooked Hillary.

THink he will pardon his mob associates?

Yes, it is a precedent. A preemptive pardon for offeneses you have not been actually charged with.
Nobody is comparing the character of Hillary with the character of Nixon.
 
Trump won't pardon her. He will just drop it and never talk about it again. That's his go to strategy for tough issues, so far.
 
If he appoints a special prosecutor who can't find grounds for criminal charges, Hillary will be vindicated and Teh Donald will simply look vindictive.

But if he pardons her without investigation, then she will never be cleared by Donald's prosecutor. The cloud of potential guilt will always hang over her, and Donald won't be put in an awkward position by his unsuccessful prosecutor.

If he's shrewd, he'll pardon her.

And she should refuse the pardon and call his bluff.

I think he will say a lot of "We're looking into that." about it.

He really needs to be looking forward and not back. He's got a lot of enemies in his own party who would love for him to turn out to be a *************** of a president.

I think that's most likely. He'll never actually admit that he can't have her charged.

Well in the pre-election background. y local paper noted that in 1960 the candidate who looked shifty, sick, had a five O'clock shadow, and lacked charisma lost.
 
his major promise along with a wall was to lock mrs clinton up the day after.
he never did say why, but ignoring this promise so early isn't a great sign.

funnily, no cries of lock her up from the crowd after she conceded.

Donald never gave a **** about throwing Hillary in prison. He was just pandering to morons. He, along with his followers, will simply forget about it now that he won.
 
which is how i expect his presidency to run, laissez faire, till next election with a promise to get everything done in his last term.

I think she deserves to be prosecuted. But I can see the political wisdom in a pardon. As long as it's after we've had a good look at the Clinton foundation, her political career is truly finished, and she is never again allowed anywhere near classified information.
 
Y'all need to come down from your hate buzz. He won't pardon here because there's nothing to pardon her for. In order to have her found guilty of something, they'd have to continue the ridiculous investigations.

All the smart money in the GOP and the ones who are really running the show will now quash all the Stop The Clintons movement. It had one goal; keep Hillary out of the White House.

The GOP is not going to set the precedent. Would you want to be former President Trump when President Cuomo is sworn in Jan/2021 if the Republicans go after a defeated Clinton. For that matter would you want to be George Dubya Bush? He'll still be alive and there are all sorts of reasons he could've been prosecuted.

Ya just don't do it. You satisfy yourself with your vitriolic blogs and move on. The Republicans set a precedent like that and it's game over for everyone. They're all in the business of getting elected and re-elected. The rubes believe the rallying cries (remember the crazy left who were upset that Obama didn't bring charges against Cheney and Bush - in that order?) but they're just rallying cries.
 
You don't pardon people who have assassinated a supreme court justice, conducted RICO activities and international gangsterism, and who are guilty of child trafficking.
