Circus Holds 'Kosher' Performance for Religious Jews

The Jewish organizers did make a demand. The circus organizers could not include any female performers, it had to be an all-male show, and they got it.

Michael Lieber, Circus Fan: "In a circus they'll have -- the women won't be dressed completely modestly. We have a very high level of how we want the women to be dressed."

These folks were willing to pay for something unusal that they wanted, and that's OK by me.

But I find the 'all-male show' label amusing, because in my circles that is a euphemism for gay pornography.

The article says that Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey were happy to oblige. I'm sure they were and that it was rather lucrative for them. Were P.T. Barnum present, he no doubt would have said, "There's a shnook born every minute."
