A ghost in this photograph?

Is the OP serious?

A ghost, dressed in a cloth? Come on...

Unless you mean the shoes in the foreground... But that would be even more ridiculous.

I wanted a reasonable explanation for what my friend thought could be a ghost on the image.

The information passed on was that there were no other people present which if taken as fact would totally debunk the tablecloth theory.

Unfortunately considering the bridesmaids had their backs turned, it's entirely possible, as a previous poster said, that the person with the tablecloth was out of sight to them and only appearing slightly from the angle of the photographer.

Since the scene is apparently a church, perhaps the item being held up behind the building is an alar cloth and not a tablecloth.

Looks like we have another pope sighting.

And you'd think he'd be too busy with his 72 virgins and stuff to keep making visitations to the mortal realm.

It looks like a white ghostly ferret sitting on top of a pedestal.

Pareidolia is a wonderful thing.

I'm no photo expert, but does anyone else notice a black border to the "ghost"? As if it was poorly done cut-and-paste to the image.

I think if this was a cut and paste job they would have imported a better ghost.

It doesn't look photoshopped, if that's what you mean. The black border seems a mix of coincidence and compression artefact to me, doesn't look suspicious to me in any way. As far as I can tell, of course.

Couldn't you have found one yourself besides a ghost?

For crying out loud.

Here's another possible reasonable explanation: it's a statue.

There is a ghost in the OP photo! That woman in pink appears to be floating! You can't see her feet and her dress isn't touching the ground! OMG! It's the PINK LADY we've all heard so much about!!!

(It's nice to see a picture of a ghost in pink. Such a nice change from all those Grey Lady or White Lady ghosts don't you think?)

Did you notice the way she is looking at those pure, innocent little girls?

I think she intends to recruit those poor children into her preverted AfterLifestyle Choice!

Looks to me like someone's folding a sheet or tablecloth (which you might expect at a wedding reception). You can even see the hand at the top of the shape. I don't see anything "ghostly" about it...

That was my immediate perception too.

If this weren't so blatantly a photograph of someone folding a tablecloth / robe / curtain while mostly hidden behind a wall, and was instead the first ever photographic evidence of a ghost, I for one would be reassured to learn that our spectral friends look like they did on "Scooby Doo".

It's a hand holding out a sheet. The hand looks like it's the top of someone's arm.

It's just a hand.

Or a hand holding a ghosts head.....or perhaps even they're punching the ghost because they're scared?
