Here is another tread on the subject, it deals somewhat with the logistical problems.
It might help to point out that they are not the only one suffering from it and that the number of stalkers involved in total would be a noticeable % of the workforce.
Speaking as someone who has professionally "stalked" people (law enforcement) I have to interject a little reality into the subject. It takes a bare minimum of 4-5 people to safely conduct a clandestine surveillance (you only need one if you just want to follow someone around). 4-5 people, three shifts a day, seven days a week? For just one single random person?
It would nearly take the adult population of the US to do what these people are suggesting.
