A 9/11 Thread for joemailman

Joe, you remind me of myself when I was younger

I too used to be a troll. Yep, I admit it. I liked to barge into UFO believers’ boards and other such playschools (alternate medicine, near-death experiences, Atlantis, ESP, you name it) and play wiseguy.

I’d post stuff like this:

“Nyah, you guys really don’t effin’ gettit, do ya? Right now ‘Princess Di’ is laffing so hard he can’t shave his chest, while ‘Geo. Bush’ (call him that) is in Sub-Basement 5 at Area 51 – no, no, the REAL one, stoopid! – choreographing Bin Loathsome’s next CD. Meanwhile, Project Green Mamba’s going nowhere, but thass the IDEA, riiiight? I mean, like, 40 million Frenchmen can’t be wrong! Keep watching the skies, sheeple; that’s keeps your attention off Dreck Sheeney, ‘scuse me, Dick Cheney and his lovely ice cream clones! And who are YOU working for, my little snickersnee?”

And they ate it up like frosted donuts. They’d ask for more, and start to noodle on it themselves. It could have gone on literally for years.

But I’m not much of a troll, as it turns out. At some stage, I’d give them a slap: “Just joshing with you, folks. I wanted to see if your skulls were so numb you couldn’t feel your legs being pulled.” I didn’t make myself loved, doing that, but the real reason I quit (it’s now 933 days since I last trolled a suckers’ board) is because I got

BORED! Bee oh are ee dee, bored! Posting content-free crap gets tedioius after a while, and the emptiness of the exercise starts to echo: dull dull dull dull.

You’ll get bored too, Joe. Unless you really are as dumb as you sound.

Joe:

Noone here actually expects to convince you of anything. From all of your posts, you clearly live in a state of paranoia, where the government, and likely just about everyone else on the planet, is out to get you and the rest of "the believers".

That said, why did you bother to post here, knowing full well the people here would simple shoot down anything you had to say. I am confused. Some come here to taunt, or to pick a fight. Others are naive enough to think they can change someones opinion, but I don't see you as either at this point, so what on earth made you even make one post on this forum?

Let me just end this with an understanding.

Oy, this should be good.

I have no interest in convincing any of you of the possibility of a conspiracy. Realisticaly it won't happen.

We all agree that people conspired to make 9-11 happen.

I only sorry that the great majority of Americans are so trusting of their government

Hell, no. The facts support the official story. It has nothing to do with whether or not people actually like the government. Look elsewhere on this forum and you will see some of the most vocal supporters of the official story also happen to be ardent opponents of the current administration and its policies.

.....kinda like victims of retardation trusting their caretakers.

Now we are journeying into condescending [rule 8] bag territory. People who disagree with you do so because they are intellectually stunted.

It's really sad to note that the great majority of Americans are as crude and primitive as they are

Ya, with all of our primitive science and facts and logic.

but.... how else could it be?

Maybe becasue the official story is what happened (or as damn near as we can reasonably guess)?

So continue to trust your corporate leaders and "elected officials". It's a safe place to be.

It must be such a burden to be spoonfed "facts" from Stephen Jones.

P.S. One doesn't need hard evidence to be suspicious...just a string of coincidences...............

You're not being suspicious or skeptical. You are just being contrarian.

Arkan, I really have no beef with you. So far you've only asked me for facts and evidence the likes of which I cannot for obvious reasons provide. There are circumstances that cannot be denied that point to a conspiracy and not necessarily by elected officials. Circumstances such the attempt to destroy the WTC with a mere truckfull of fertilizer or some such explosive which couldn't by any stretch of the imagination do the job. This "might" set the stage for blame and give the American people the notion that muslims and Obl are maniacs. Secondly there are several years with which to plan and decide which course of action to take to secure America's future in oil. The Saudi and binLaden families were wisked out of the country without a single period of questioning of any of them. The media has given every "terrorist" in earshot of radio and with a TV all the info they need to smuggle material into this country and they have done it for 5 yrs and still no attack. This leads me to believe that there will be no "attack" until those in control "need" one for their own agenda....which is the control of Iraqi and Caspian Sea oil. Think " 12 to 14 trillion in oil reserves". Give the Americans a single excuse and they'll easily support blowing those who allegedly confront us right of the face of the planet.

Failure on your part to make the effort to provide corroborating information to substantiate your claims; failure to make the effort to be able to prove your claims are accuracte; and failure to try to put together a case that will stand up to scrutiny and bring to justice those that you feel are at fault is cowardly and a waste of everyone's time. Put up, or shut up.

I always expect more than convention is able to offer. I'm sorry you are so gullible and willing to swallow the crap that your "elected" officials and their lackeys in the media have fed you. I guess it really is a safe spot for you to go to. Patting each other on the back is only a sign of childish agreement and/or the kind of ignorance that is expected by those who control the direction of your value system. Stay on that bandwagon and you'll always find agreement.;) Bye!

So prove them wrong. Why is it wrong to take them at face value (which we don't actually do), but perfectly reasonable to take you at face value?

I guess it really is a safe spot for you to go to.

what reason and logic?

Patting each other on the back is only a sign of childish agreement and/or the kind of ignorance that is expected by those who control the direction of your value system.

And what does patting yourself on the back show?

Stay on that bandwagon and you'll always find agreement.;)

That seems to be the Loose Change Forums motto. Glad you are able to recite even more of their BS.

Uh-huh, sure.

In the case of WTC oil is the motivation. In the case of JFK's assassination, again oil and resources. In the case of lbj's Gulf of Tonkin fiasco again oil and resources. Read the Mar '78 edition of Scientific American for a look at the future of oil. For me the entire scenario of oil being the motivation for worldwide events fits together like a puzzle...etc etc etc

Uhm... what about the huge oil strike in the Gulf of Mexico? It's not like it was a huge surprise that the oil was there... the industry has known about it for decades. Crude oil has been leeching up out of fissures on the floor of the Gulf since... well, forever. It had always been attributed to dirty shipping heading for New Orleans/Biloxi, but that view had been challenged by scuba divers, who had been reporting seeing it coming up from fissures. So a group from Florida State University, out to prove that it was from shipping, took samples and found it to be a very fine grade of crude. Surprise, guys.

THIS is the reason "drilling in the Gulf" has been a hot issue in the Gulf states for more than 20 years. We KNEW it was there. We suspected that it was a huge pool because the oil leeching up from the fissures has been seen by divers near the shore from Cuba all the way around the Gulf coast to Guatamala. And there was no reason to believe that a pool of oil knows where the coastline is and is following it. It COULD be under the entire Gulf. It potentially could be part of a pool stretching all the way out to Venezuela. It's just a matter of doing the research necessary to find out how big it is, and that job has been held up by environmentalists who are dead set against coastal drilling, at any time at any place.

So why on earth would the guv'mint go to the trouble of doing ANY of those things "for oil" when we already had a potential supply that could put the Middle East in the shade? It would have been a hell of a lot simpler... and politically safer, BTW... to issue an executive order that said, "Commence drilling."

Excuse me, but this "it's all about the oil" business is starting to really get on my nerves! :(

I'm glad you have me and my value system all figured out because I still haven't the faintest idea what your argument is (other than something vague about oil being the key to everything)

Hell, I don't even know what you disagree with, other than "convention". I don't know how you can evaluate the quality of someone's argument based solely on whether it's widely accepted or it's fringey and controversial. But hey, whatever works for you, man. Keep following every maverick, dissident, eccentric, radical, rogue, and crackpot you encounter and ignoring all the inherited, time-tested wisdom of those that came before us, regardless of the respective strength of their arguments. I hope it gets you someplace. Cheers!

I interpret his "argument" as this:

I think it was an inside job. I am not a bad person. So if I believe it so, why do you guys not believe it. What I have been told by others who believe as I do, makes sense to me, so it should makes sense to you guys...so why doesnt it.

Here is my response:

Occam's Razor.

Another impressive showing. Let me go back and review all the evidence joemailman presented.

Huh. You know what I think? I think Lisa Simpson has let her new Assistant Administrator powers go to her head and she's deleted all of the evidence that joemailman presented to back his claims.

ATTENTION JREF MODERATORS AND ADMINS: IF YOU DON'T STOP DELETING THE COMPELLING EVIDENCE THAT CONSPIRACY THEORISTS POST HERE, I'M GOING TO COMPLAIN TO RANDI.

I'm just posting to test out my new signature.

Don't mind me.

Plus there was the bill to start drilling in the Alaskan wildlife preserve that just got shot down...

Exactly. All of these things have been tied up in courts as well, by environmental organizations that are actually legal consultants making money by the bucketful. That's where your "protect the environment" dollars go. This is the reason it took decades to just drill that one well that struck oil... was it last week?

We've known about the Gulf oil for a LONG time. The slicks are on the surface here and there for all to see. That was why they tried to blame it on shipping. So it isn't as if drilling off the coast is going to "spoil" anything... in fact, it might even relieve some of the pressure so that it doesn't come up out of the fissures out of control.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out, coward.

a. Your Prez has no brain at all..... or at the very least not very much to think with. (every speech he makes, every statement he makes is proof enough)

Well, that's it! I'm convinced. Bush is an idiot, therefore he made 9/11 happen.

b. The world has a finite amount of oil available for it to consume through conventional methods of business and trade. This nation consumes far more than any other. (Mar '78 Scientific American)

How does this lead the US Gov to kill its own citizens ?

What's your point, anyway ?

I have no interest in convincing any of you of the possibility of a conspiracy.

And you're here, because ?

Realisticaly it won't happen. I only sorry that the great majority of Americans are so trusting of their government.....

I'm not an American. Explain that.

P.S. One doesn't need hard evidence to be suspicious...just a string of coincidences...............

Are you saying that strings of coincidences DON'T happen in real life ?

Arkan, I really have no beef with you. So far you've only asked me for facts and evidence the likes of which I cannot for obvious reasons provide.

Obvious reasons, yes. You have none.

There are circumstances that cannot be denied that point to a conspiracy and not necessarily by elected officials.

Could you actually name some ?

The Saudi and binLaden families were wisked out of the country without a single period of questioning of any of them.

They have diplomatic immunity, remember ?

Appeal to emotions. You have no argument, after all.
