He wanted fawning followers who questioned nothing. He wanted his 15 minutes of fame and the trouble for him is it's stuck to him like glue. If I'd made a 'name' for myself with something so ridiculous, I wouldn't appreciate those who remind me of the petard I ride either. :D

I'm only half-way through this one but so much great stuff happened! I saw a Truther that CHF argued with wayyyy back in 2007. Who's gonna break it to CHF that he didn't change the guy's mind?

There's also discussion about Luke Rudowski stealing money from the movement or something and using it for college...I remember that being brought up in a thread here awhile back. I went into the thread thinking I would see just a bunch of debunkers saying how terrible that is but was bemused to see that nearly everyone just said, "hey good for him, putting that money to something good like an education!"

Hey all. I decided to bump my thread because THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP ME!!!

The last 3 are not for the faint at heart, he talks with a pretty crazy guy...these are also for people who liked dsglop's style of TM confrontation, only this guy is a little bit nicer and seems much more genuinely amused with the bizarre claims of the TM (hence there are a lot of times where he is just cracking up at answers).

It's 90 minutes long and pretty entertaining. They actually don't talk too much about 911...they start off talking about whistle blowing and then Barrett started arguing some of the claims Kay makes about him in his book. That means a lot of antisemitism discussion.
It seems like in the last 20 minutes they both remembered that Kay's book was mostly about 911 and they have a speed debate about various claims. Barrett calls PM liars for talking about terrorist DNA! I am shocked, SHOCKED, that Barrett has not looked at other sources for more information about that claim!

Also, Kevin Barrett needs to get a better Mic set up. I noticed in his debates with John Brown that the quality was pretty poor and I thought it was just the audio file. But this time around, Barrett's voice was at a pretty low volume but Kay came in loud in clear. I should ask Kay what type of mic set up he uses for Skype.
 
Ah, you listened to it (I provided the link to him in some other thread). Listened again to the first couple of minutes and then looked up the first interview Barrett mentioned they had, while Kay was writing the book. Here it is, from June 2009. Didn't listen yet.

Good lookin' out! What did you think of their debate? I'm actually not too familiar with Kevin Barrett other than looking around his blog and the debates he has had. I should check out when he went on the FOX shows cause he still loves to talk about that.

You wouldn't happen to know other debates he's had? Not just about 911?

This debate was alright. Jon Gold doesn't sound nearly as crazy as the other Truthers I've heard before. I'm sure you guys will point to some terrible quotes that he makes or something that will change my mind though, haha.

Pat's ending statement was great...it sounded like you were a little pissed off though at that end.

It is a bummer that probably one of the more content-packed/challenging debates I've heard about 911 in awhile is also the shortest.

Holy crap! At 51:10 minutes into the debate someone asks Tarpley what is the threshold of evidence that he would accept to falsify 911 as being an inside job and Tarpley dismisses the question by saying "I don't think this question is very meaningful..."

That is pretty weak.
