Could 9/11 by covered up via MILDEC or PSYOP techniques, plus media control?
I don't have a lot of time these days, so I won't develop this idea very far. Sorry, but that's the way it goes.
The intellectual godfather of this thread is Are the WTC collapse-initiation mechanisms being cloaked by MILDEC. Some people (including a moderator) complained that the thread was getting side-tracked into "economics and the media".
However, debunkers have maintained, over and over, that massive deception, ala 911 perpetration and coverup by the US government, is not possible. Again and again, debunkers have presented this as a general argument, which is to be applied to the specific case of 911.
Therefore, at least those debunkers that have presented this sort of argument have no justification to whine when that general argument is contradicted. To this end, illustrating the falsity of the debunker's general argument, by drawing from government deception in a non-military context, is quite legitimate. In any event, I have made the title of this thread broader, so nobody should complain about straying from the topic. I have defined the topic, and the topic should interpreted as "Can massive deceptions by the government occur, in any context, and what can we infer about 1) the plausibility of a similarly massive deception on 911 and 2) the plausibility of a similarly massive deception in 'explaining' 9/11 (i.e., coverup)."
According to Walter Burien, the public discoverer of CAFR's: Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports:
The CAFR's represent a second set of books, by various levels of government (state, country, local; I think there's a Federal one, also), listing asset categories that total over 100 trillion dollars. There's also revenue streams associated with these assets, totaling a few trillion dollars per year.
The CAFR's are hidden from the public, though Burien managed to get his hands on some samples for each state. (See http://cafr1.com/STATES/ for a sample from your state.) They are not mentioned in the mainstream media. As some of the people who get a copy "each and every year" are the directors and CEO's of ABC, CBS, and CNN, it's not like it's a complete secret, either.
I don't want to take the time (right now, anyway), to copy relevant parts of Are the WTC collapse-initiation mechanisms being cloaked by MILDEC. Suffice it to say that the key jumping off point is Max Photon's argument about Paulson's "constructive" lie regarding Fannie and Freddie.
The following isn't much of an argument, since it relies on what I'll call a vague summary argument by Burien, who knows a lot of details about the general subject (CAFR's), but doesn't really apply them convincingly in his most recent statements.
He may not apply these details because he can't, or because he didn't want to go to the trouble. However, it seems clear that he knows enough details - truly massive amounts of assets, whose genesis is the public, being hidden from the public, both overseas as well as in the form of stocks of NYSE listed companies - to make a reasonable inference, but hasn't nailed it down.
Well, below I've bolded some of Burien's recent statements, which I read today, in the form of a public email to his email list . :
I dont' know much about derivatives, but I believe that they are typically highly leveraged. IOW, if the CAFR accounts are profiting on short derivatives, they are making far more $$$$ than is being lost by stockholders - including CAFR entity stockholders. Hence, for those people profiting from these same CAFR short derivatives (say by managing them, or 'lending' them short-term money, all for fees), they are also cleaning up, big time.
Another way of putting this is: Even the great Max Photon may have been deceived. A key purpose of the $700 billion bailout (which was widely criticized by economists), as well as Paulson's Fannie/Freddie lie which preceeded it, may not have been "constructive", at all. Instead, they may have both been in the service of market manipulation, allowing for greater profits to short derivative positions, which will greatly exceed any losses from straightforward losses resulting from a "pumped and dumped" stock market.
It's quite fair to call this informed speculation. However, like 911, the scale of the deception (at the public interest) is so large that it not only points to systemic corruption - it also points to the likelihood that the sorts of honest investigations that we would need to figure out "where the bodies are buried" (i.e., the details) will never be done.
A good overview of what I think of as "the mother of all conspiracies" - the CAFR's - is here.

WJB REPLIES TO A SILVER MARKET POST - 10/10/08
----------------------------------------------
Bull Pucky!
Any day of the work week (Monday - Friday) I personally for myself can get silver or gold at prevailing spot prices from the big three.
In a minute I can buy 100 oz or 10,000,000 oz
Current price silver: $11.47 per oz
Current price gold: $910 per oz
To buy 1000 oz of silver (10 - 100 oz bars) would be $11,470 + clearing and delivery fee (about $325) = $11,795 COST
Or 33c over spot!
For those who want assistance with easier buys having a "little" markup
http://www.monex.com/why/howtobuy.html
http://bullion.nwtmint.com/silver_bars_100.php
Just as it was in 1979 when silver shot through to $50, when the price slammed down many small dealers got left "holding the bag". Small dealers
claimed shortages for the reality of their "financial exposure". Inventory declining in price came out of their pocket. They would only take orders
on a cash in advance purchase price basis.
I have been trading for over 30 years, and silver was one of my specialties. When I worked at WTC1 in NY, I did a live international market news
line on silver back in 1979 - 1980. In the last five years for the few friends I brief, I called the tops and bottoms shortly before it occurred,
excluding this recent AUG 15 where I thought the bottom of the break thinking it would be $13,50, bought heavy and in one hour watched $12.20 get
hit. Big ouch on my account balance there. Stepped back, looked objectively with impartiality and gave the call for $10.90 - $10.65 to get hit
within a few days after that $12.20 was hit. Silver bounced off the low $12.40 mark several times by a buck and then the actual low was $10.38 and
then a bounce back was seen to over $13.50 of which was my target mark.
>From the writing on the wall I see at this time, I am telling my friends to be ready and "mortgage the farm" to buy starting at $8.85 with the
potential of the bottom being $8.15 to $7.72
If things change, I will advise my friends accordingly, but at present the Eagle eye focus is on that $8.85 mark to the max at $8.15 to $7.72
For the pros I am telling them to buy a spot delivery contract when the price target is reached (1000 oz or 5000 oz) AND TAKE DELIVERY! With many
taking delivery, it will force prices up dramatically and consistently over several months. With 85% of speculators playing the "paper" investment
game on silver without taking delivery this is what has allowed "the boys" to roll the price any where they want. If people start taking delivery,
the rules of true supply and demand will come to play and the boys will not be able to manipulate as they have through paper markets just because
they have many 000,000,000,000s at the end of their account balances.
I note government is the biggest player in the derivatives market now with no equal. As the DOW crashes, you must ask yourself; "I wonder how many
trillions of dollars government is making on their short derivative positions to offset losses on their physical holdings?" The public sees the
market going down and not knowing any better will think government pensions are getting hit. Yes, on physical holding, but their derivative position
playing can offset all losses on the physical.
The real can of worms is that government starting in the 80's off-shored massive amounts of their investment capital. This is where the "need to
look" for derivative activities and balance sheets are a must to be reviewed.. Otherwise, knowing how government operates, the public will just hear
as government promotes but one side of the coin: "Oh, we all know how much the market has fallen, this has created a shortfall on our pensions and
investment operating accounts. We need to raise taxation."
Yeh, right. Have them sign a statement of what their "international" and domestic derivative profits to-date were in off-set to their physical
holdings and losses.. If and when you get an answer there, you will find out who took all the money (trillions) from the losses the general public
sustained not being "in the loop" with this orchestrated crash..
With derivatives, for every looser their is a winner on the other side. Look over the fence and you will see the effect of unrestrained government
growth and power obtained. Cute thing was, they took 700 billion from the taxpayers just before putting the final leg of their short derivative plan
into motion. I guess they needed a little extra margin money before scooping up all the rest of the cash remaining through the use of their
international derivative play.
