I spent 25 years in the military. There are some people in uniform who have been known to bend the truth. There are others who simply don't have it in them to lie.

As to Spec Ops guys: most of them tend to keep their mouths shut about what they do. Hollywood often paints cartoon pictures of what Spec Ops guys are about. Hollywood is full of dog feces.

Your example basically sucks.

Even this is not a yes or no question. Critical thinking demands you examine ALL evidence. But unless someone could explain why 15 special ops demolition crew members would want to go to jail for life over a lie, I would think a new investigation using the new information is warranted.

If you could find a team of 15 Special Ops forces, who (a) admitted to planting Demolition explosives in the WTCs at the order of the USG, and (b) they could back up their stories via details of the mission/details of the buildings that they could only know if they had planted the explosives, and (c) their credentials were confirmed, than I would think that it would warrant a serious investigation.

Since there is 0% chance of this occuring, I think it is the ultimate hypothetical situation.
