What makes you call her a leftie, other than she opposed the War when that was generally an unpopular stand. Ron Paul has always opposed the War. In fact, Cindy Sheehan appeals to pretty much the same crowd as Ron Paul does.

She travels in very lefty circles. I've been in the same room with her for a very left-wing bunch. I've seen her scheduled for other similar meetings.
Maybe she's welcome with Ron Paul fans too. I wouldn't see that.
In my opinion, many if not most of the "Truth Movement" crowd have a political worldview that has no relationship to the left-center-right axis that reality-based people refer to.

We have talked about this many times. This all depends on what you mean by
the "Truth Movement" crowd. Americans involved in the TM can roughly be divided into 3 categories. JREF members frequently confuse these groups or pick one of them as the 'legitimate' TM and point to how it does or doesn't support their general description.
Groups like CIT and AE911 can be thought of as the producers of 911 Truth ideology and 'facts'. Dicki G. and his friends like to make a point of how they are non-partisan. CIT and individuals who claim no planes struck the WTC towers seem almost never to talk about the political implications of what they say happened on September 11. Tony Z., Dr. Steve, and Judy Wood fill their webpages and JREF posts with pseudo-calculations but almost never talk about why they can't get their pseudo-research published etc., etc. I suspect this is pretty much the case with the boys and girls who fill the 911 Truth forums and other venues on which the 'hot' 911 topics are named. My honest feeling about most -even all - of this group is that we used to send people like this to out-patient clinics for functional mentally ill adults.
The consumers of this ideology are an entirely different matter. JREF members are quick to label all the recent crazies attacking the Pentagon and crashing planes into buildings as 911 Truthers. As much as they are Truthers, they are very different people. Everyone here likes to say that 911 Truth is dead and that all the 911 Truth pseudo-facts have been debunked. And sure that's true. At the same time, it's been absorbed into fringe beliefs of extreme right-wing groups. Despite the fact that AE911 has been completely discredited, there are large numbers of Americans who do not question the existance of construction professional that do not accept the so-called 'offiical story'. I know there is. I talk to them on Facebook and other forums. Sure they are young, poorly-educated, desperate working-class right-wingers, but they presume it is widely known by construction professionals. Just look at Truther Derek Johnson. He truely seems to believe this.
There are thousands of these guys on the Net. I can give you their names. None of them are willing to do much about it except post on Facebook and collect e-mails. Most of them seem extremely lonely and personally pathetic. But almost all of them vote for Ron Paul. Everyone at We Are Change that I spoken to or heard talk about this supports Ron Paul. Every Truther I have talked with on the Net who is not part of this mainstream machine that makes Truther pseudo-facts speaks openly about Ron Paul.
I am talking about hundreds of people that I know personally. I don't know about Captain Bob over at Pilots for 911 Truth. from what I read about here, I doubt he votes or even has a political opinion. If what I read about here is correct, his mental state is questionable. But if you talk with people who accept that Bush and Cheney blew up the WTC buildings using thermite oe whatever, they vote Ron Paul.

A friend of mine who was active in the Anti Iraq movement and who knew Cindy from day one states that is pretty much what happened, and that she was taken advantage of by some extremists that most Anti Iraq War Groups wanted nothing to do with.
And ,incidently, her much publicised quitting as the "face of the Anti War Movement" was a case of "You can't fire me, I quit!" since the mainstream Anti War groups had dropped her because of her growing extremism.
Bingo...very, very similar to "Kate" from "Kate plus eight"...
