Merged 9/11 CT subforum General Discussion Thread

There is at least one thread - not closed - that is available for disussing the collapses.

Chill;

if your post is in response to my comment, I would say that I moved it here, as I felt it really wasn't directly related to any theory on the 9/11 attacks, so much as the qualifications of those who are considered experts, and those who perhaps are not.

If your comment was not directed at me, then my apologies.

Agreed, but it is in relation to his (or his colleagues) "Qualifications" in comparison to Bazant's. The collapses themselves, are a related but distinct issue.

If you feel it is more suited for a thread on the collapses, then I suppose it could be moved, but I thought it was more suited for the "general" thread.

I just think you're more likely to get a response there, and it's more specific than what you started this thread for. :)

True. I could have started a new thread for it, but felt it was not worth it (and has been done before, for sure).

I don't report posters

If I were to make the same posts, numerous reports would be made and the mods would be swift in their action.

I fail to see what you're complaining about. The mods can't be everywhere at once, so they'll generally only act on that which gets reported. The reason that there are not "numerous reports" and "swift" mod action against the posts attacking you is BECAUSE you refuse to report them.

When you don't report bad behavior, you effectively invite it. So basically what I'm saying is

I don't report posters

Until you do, you have absolutely no reason to complain.

bump

I'm discussing right now with a dumbass who still thinks that when Larry Silverstein said "pull it", he meant "destroy the building", despite providing some links with officials questionning him about it and providing this link.

Is there an english grammar website which says that when the verb "to pull" is used alone, it may mean "to destroy", or must the particle "down" be used to mean so?

Well, they are kind of half right (with judicious use of qualifiers) - pulling 'it' (the fire fighting operation?) that was not really ongoing anyway (how can you pull what isn't happening?) did doom the building (to fall down by itself).

If the person has a plausible theory for how FDNY might have demolished the building it would be worth listening to, but we know that they don't, because there isn't.

OK, thanks for your answer.

I have a new question now: MSNBC said that NYPD found explosive devices. What about this? The only sources that mention it are Alex Jones' websites...

Well if the only sources that mention it are AJ sites, then it sounds a bit ridiculous to me. I mean if they give no source, I would say it is bullcrap. Not that it surprises me that AJ sites can not come up with a source.

One from my childhood, "don't forget to pull the chain" I've even said it to my grandkids now and again. Not that I've seen a toilet with a chain for decades must be.
