Does not believe the US government was complicit in the 9/11 attacks.
So?
Are you not the slightest bit embarassed that your perspective is so one dimensional?

I think that point being made here is that Red, like many Truthers, will soon find himself in the uncomfortable position of having to reconcile that fact that a president he likes and supports shows no inclination towards his beliefs about 9/11.
Gone are the salad days of conflating hatred for the Bush administration with possible government involvement in the 9/11 attacks, and Truthers like Red will have to come up with reasons other than corruption and villainy to explain Obama's lack of interest in finding The Truth.
I agree, that for many of the rabid Bush hating MIHOPers, it will be most uncomfortable. I just don't seeit being that hard for Red...I may be wrong.

Meh. They'll learn to hate Obama too, once they learn the Reptilians fixed the election.

Really? You don't think I base every decision of my life on who I think is a twoofie twoofer?
Nice moving goalpost...
Barack Obama has pledged to continue and escalate the fraudulent "War on Terror" that 911 launched.
We won't make any progress if you still think that 9/11 events and George W. Bush's bellicose behaviour are tied together. You can't make the difference between "cause" and "consequence".

This is much more than just an issue of having a life outside of 9/11 conspiracy theories.
RedIbis is quite vocal in his belief that the investigation into the events of 9/11 was shoddy and incomplete, most recently exemplified in his scathing criticism of NIST's WTC7 Report. It would seem, according to the manner in which he presents his arguments, that any reasonable and intelligent person could easily discern these inconsistencies and omissions.
Barack Obama is certainly a reasonable and intelligent person. And as President, he has access to any and all information regarding 9/11, or at least as much as RedIbis has had in order to form his opinions.
Therefore, if Barack Obama doesn't come to the same conclusions as RedIbis, and take the necessary action his position demands, it must be because he is either less intelligent than RedIbis or part of the cover-up. He is either a dupe or an accomplice. And I'm sure that idea doesn't sit too well with RedIbis.
So I'm just curious how RedIbis, or any Truther who supports Obama, will reconcile the fact that a person whom they respect and admire (and who is in a position to both have access to pertinent information and act on it), wholly rejects their beliefs regarding 9/11.
While I do not believe the U.S. government was complicit in the attacks, I do think it should be held accountable for the unacceptable mistakes it made in the run-up to that terrible day. The blunders that occurred prior to the 2001 attacks were inexcusable and often outrageous. The series of clear warnings about the potential use of hijacked planes as weapons is just one example of why the "surprise" of 9/11 should have been anticipated. In my view, proof of government complicity is not necessary when making the argument that the U.S. should accept some responsibility for what happened on 9/11.

I happen to agree with him on this and hope that he pursues those officials who he believes should be held accountable.
I've always been in favor of the Al Capone strategy.
So you agree with him that the only role that the government had in 9/11 was one of incompetence?
So you agree that Osama bin Laden, as head of al-Qaeda, the terrorist organization behind 9/11, is ultimately responsible?
As a supporter of Obama, I was glad that he acknowledged that there should be accountability, and I'm glad that his view is conventional since I wanted him to be elected.
It's not my responsibility to respond to every piece of flawed logic that flies out of your fingertips and onto the forum. There are any number of reasons (nearly all I agree with) why Obama maintains a very conventional perspective on 9/11.
He does however go much farther than nearly any of the dubunkers on this board when he says that gov't officials should be held accountable and should have addressed the intel that was warning of such an attack.
